I hate the division and agree completely making the other games like that game will make me stop buying these other games from them.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post
The only Ghost Recon game I've played was Wildlands, and I enjoyed it. Played it solo for 90% of the time, only going to coop for trophies. I liked it the way it was, but this new one looks like a bad choice all around.
Looks like Ubisoft couldn't keep me past 1 game.
If you remove the always online, and other looter pooper elements, perhaps I'll stick around. But otherwise, you lost me.
OP has it right.
I beg to differ that "Constant Internet Connection" being required is great idea and no, not everyone has "High Speed Internet Access". We all live in different parts of the world where there is high speed internet connection and then there are other places where they have internet but the connection is shabby and not good.Originally Posted by FerroMortem Go to original post
GRW was built on having both an internet connection to not having an internet connection. Why remove something works already in the sequel? It makes no sense to have constant active internet connection for this series of the game. So no, it is a very bad idea because not everyone is on equal footing about internet connection.
That's what I was saying sorry if that was not clear to you or others. Requiring internet connection is something I do not like or want and think is unfair to those who don't live places with internet or stable connections.Originally Posted by RavenShadowDust Go to original post
Probably not.Originally Posted by SofaJockey Go to original post
Agreed. These will be features that were thought of in concept stage. Very unlikely to change now.Originally Posted by SofaJockey Go to original post
I personally like Ghost Recon & The Division. Obviously Ghost Recon now is not Ghost Recon of old but the series has tended to keep me hooked.
Looting and general upgrading are fun RPG elements to have and with the "story line" they have provided, it kind of makes sense.
In my opinion, the AI teammates in Wildlands were pretty awful and only useful using the sync system. With that in mind, they might as well remove them. Unless they really go for real team AI mechanics (Covering, Surpressing, Sniping, Room Clearance etc), which is unlikely in this day and age, your not going to get your wish.
