If they honestly wanted to promote a primary lonewolf experience then their communications director needs to be fired.

I wish the way you see it happening is the way they making it

No, I meant the part where Nomad is alone.

That would be where the coop comes in, I would guess. Nomad's team is KIA, and he's linking up with the remaining survivors (other players), which is the extent of the known canon.

The part with the "brothers and sisters at my side" tells me that this fight is one that you should fear (ie. while Nomad is alone, he ought to avoid firefights).

I get that it plays that way once you know that there is no team AI. I don't think it plays that way if you don't, hence the major confusion that required clarification.

Thought it was pretty obvious the minute they switched perspectives. I'm actually thinking this could be a good thing though as far as enemy ai. Devs can cater to a more single player style of code instead of the chaotic randomness that happens in a typical open world game

We don't know nearly enough to make that assessment yet. Just the fact that you can do 4 times the number of sync shots simultaneously in coop indicates it could very well be 4 times harder playing solo. It's sounding more like very hard solo, not "fine". Wildlands didn't have such a drastic disparity between coop and solo, and it's enemies weren't constantly expecting you, stalking you, and heavily tech laden. We also don't know if the drones can handle more than just sync shot commands. What we DO know is thus far they aren't exactly encouraging solo play with what they're saying about it. That in itself speaks volumes.

That said, one thing they DID say that I've not seen discussed here, is that enemy response once alerted from a distance won't mean they rush to your exact position. They kinda indicated there would be a lengthier search in a general direction. We still don't know exactly how we can approach missions solo though. Can I snipe suppressed from a distance and still use stealth? It's crucial because there are going to be camps that have juggernauts and rocket launcher enemies, which will be best sniped from a distance. You really want those guys dead before you infil when solo. So I basically want to know if there is any crossover at all to Sharpshooter and Panther in possible tactics, because stealth is also key when solo.

Another thing that hasn't been discussed by devs, or even asked by players that I've seen, is whether they'll keep the cleanup system of GRW. They keep preaching ultra realism in Breakpoint, even implying using 3 drones is more realistic than 3 AI teammates (which I still can't wrap my head around), but as much as many requested a no cleanup option in Wildlands, it could make Breakpoint all the harder solo.

I'm kinda doubting your drones will be able to be repaired once shot down, and will likely take a cooldown period to respawn, so my guess is these little guys will pale in comparison to Midas, Holt, and Weaver, in more than just a lack of personality. I do wonder though if they can at least shoot a stim dart at you if you run out of syringes. LOL

The way they're making it is completely contradictory. If they truly wanted to promote a lone wolf style, they would have nixed co-op, too. Their reason for cutting the AI squad simply does not hold up.

Until the first of his remaining teammates arrive.

    .
Well, it wouldn't be prudent for them to come up and say, we just can't be bother to waste our time making a good AI gameplay so we rather nix it... or we just suck at it so we rather don't make the efffort.

That would have been better than just living us with the hope that maybe, there was the hypotetical, remote possibility that eventually they may consider implementing an AI squad in a none established futur update...
