Counter argument to the AI team mates.. .what if, since this whole things is based around drones, your class has a drone skill tree that replaces the AI team mates? Sniper class - up to 3 scout drones that will mark the position and do a free scout within an area. If they have a Medic class a drone that helps with wounds and revives you if you go down. I'm sure they will have some Assault class - his drone can be up to 3 ambush / defend drones that you can place wherever you want within a range around you and they will stay there and defend / assault anyone that comes within range of them. Then there is that Panther class that get a drone that can do smoke screen, or a single silent shot, but has to be manually driven. There is soo much that can be done to replace the AI with the way they are taking this and I hope they go more this route than some AI team mates to be honest.

If there is no AI team, then there is zero chance I will buy this game.

Commanding a special forces squad is what Ghost Recon is all about. You absolutely cannot change that or it isn't Ghost Recon anymore. The developers should be ashamed of themselves for turning this game into Far Cry.

Yes I would prefer AI teammates. That's not a total deal breaker. I'm more concerned about the classes, loot, crafting and Terminator type stuff tbh. I am almost totally solo so not looking forward to the "highly encouraged" co-op. I have the same issues in Division and I realize I either have to go co-op or skip content. I came back to Wildlands after a lot of Destiny & Division 1 and a bit of Div 2 for that first person, solo experience. It is sort of the antithesis of Division etc.. Breakpoint seems much more like those games. Another loot-shooter, I will be taking a wait and see approach on this anyway.

    As far as teammates goes:
If this is supposed to be a Lone Wolf type affair, then why even allow co-op?
How will the story change if we're solo v. co-op?
If co-op can fit into the story then AI should be able to fit as well.

I realize this would take some time, but a not-too-long after release update should be possible.

Unless you have a co-op team with you, at which point it becomes about Nomad and up to three others.

I'm saying the stuff about a lonewolf experience because that's what the developers said at the end of the stream but again, once the beta arrives we may be able to find out.
They also said "get friends or suffer" and "painful, but possible", which means GRB is intended for co-op from the get go and will be a punishing experience for solo players. I don't play games for such experiences.

If you haven't yet played GRW without the AI-crutches, now would be a good time to try.

I'm pretty sure I know exactly what they meant in the stream and it's not nearly as dramatic as you seem to think.

I can already play Splinter Cell or Metal Gear for that. They're designed from the ground up for solo play.

Go ahead and keep ignoring the elephant in the room.

We have a petition going on change.org as well.

Ubisoft will have to respond once we hit a certain number of signatures. And one day we've already had 17 people sign and $45 donated.

    https://www.change.org/p/ubisoft-boycott-ghost-recon-breakpoint-until-ubisoft-implements-ai-teammates-does-not-require-an-internet-connection-to-play

I'm just asking people sign anonymously at the very least so we can get our voices heard.

Perhaps Ubisoft patch in AI teammates and still make the October 4th release date if we get our voices heard.

My name is Adrian Chowanec. My UPlay moniker is lumberguy1028.

I've played nearly every Ghost Recon title with the exception of Jungle Storm and Phantoms.

I also play other Tom Clancy titles like Rainbow Six, has played just about every Splinter Cell game and even gave The Division 2 a chance.

I've signed, though I doubt just how much impact it will have. Online petitions in general seem to have little effect on anything at all.
