Hi
So can someone explain me why ubisoft always writes "You can create your own ghost" but if you go to the wiki site the character you play as has already has a set gender(female version doesnt even exist) look, name backstory etc.Wouldnt it be better if he just have a callsign and the player could decide how he looks(canonical)?.It feels a bit wrong to customize the character if he already got an official look. Its not a rpg i know, but it would be cool if they would let us create our own ghost like in the decription.Lg
Pretty much the Nomad you create is the canonical Nomad. The pic on the wiki is simply a place-holder. You kinda need one for game previews and such.Originally Posted by ChristophWr Go to original post
Someone ought to make a cartoon of Breakpoint Nomad, with all those nifty new animations, pointing out that sp players will have no squad mates to heal. It would have him bandaging his drone after getting downed by a bullet. Nomad says to it "You'll have to soldier on little buddy, you're all I got. Now where do I stick the needle?"
Creating ones call sign should be a good addition to game, and once you decide on name, you will be referred to that in game. As for Character on Wiki thats a generic one (as they had to place an image) as you can change in game.Originally Posted by ChristophWr Go to original post
Because you can create the way your Ghost looks but for story purposes as every game is related and they have also novels, they have to make a certain gender or whatever canon.
In this case a male Nomad is canon but that doesn't mean you have to play along with the set gender, you can be a female Nomad.
That's not really practical. Ubisoft would have to compile a limited number of different nicknames to choose from because the number of different ones that players can come up with is astronomical and each line in which the name is spoken would have to be recorded with each different name option in the game. So if there were 50 different names in the game to use, that's "What's your take on this, Nomad?" having to be recorded 50 different times with each different name in place of "Nomad." Then you'd have a part of the community that feels 50 names aren't enough and wants 100 names. That's now 100 variations of the line that has to be recorded by the V/A.Originally Posted by Hollowpoint-808 Go to original post
Otherwise, you end up with an awkward script where your character is never referred to by name at all.
Male Nomad with the beard, red shirt, and Stoner 96 machine gun is the character's canon form. He appears that way in GRW's tie-in novel and all of GRW's promotional material and he appears the same in GRB's material with the exception of using a SIG 516 carbine instead of the Stoner MG.As for Character on Wiki thats a generic one (as they had to place an image) as you can change in game.
