OMG, nothing but red flags after seeing the Breakpoint trailers.
The pattern seems to be, 1, take tons of squad AI feedback, 2, launch Lone Wolf option, 3, assess Lone Wolf player feedback, 3, completely ditch squad AI and play up more tech and cinematic firefights. If we can believe what's in the trailers will be how the actual game is, it's looking like Breakpoint is designed entirely for 4 player coop like The Division. I would then assume playing lone wolf on the higher difficulty settings would be harder than it is in GRW.
That said, it all comes down to how the actual game plays. There were some very misleading trailers made of GRW, some regarding squad AI so upsetting you could call it false advertising. I really don't get how people can get sucked into preordering just to play the open beta when Ubi deceives in such ways.
Was thinking the same regarding those GRW trailers; they also turned me off at the time. So it was easy not to get excited about it to begin with (besides the incorrect assumption it was only to be played as co-op).Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
So here comes another trailer; thus I'll be waiting until after launch to make a determination, in order to see how actual game-play works.
Not sure you understand what AI trailer I'm referring to. It's the one where almost everything in it regarding squad AI was made to look WAY better and more advanced than it actually is in game. They were showing squad mates being given individual commands, and acting individually on their own in ways they never do in game. It was one of the things they tried to sell the sp on, but the game fell far short of it.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
It's not Ghost Recon anymore.
It's a fun little experiment but reminds me of Assassin's Creeds departure from the norm - I didn't buy any of the recent AC games and don't plan on buying Breakpoint.
I don't understand Ubisoft's inclination to have a library of similar titles with no unique identifiers or experiences.
I do not intend to purchase Breakpoint...because I'm not their target demographic and I am not interested in another stealth-action survival action game.
I just remember the run & gun game play being highlighted and showcased as the norm. Assumed the squad action was as co-op.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
This is a great idea, thanks CrockfordCKOriginally Posted by CrockfordCK Go to original post
Hopefully they will reconsider once there is a huge voice from community clamoring for it .Originally Posted by Mars388502 Go to original post
No AI team mates I can live with. At least I can tell the difference between a Cobra and an Apache, unlike Wildland's AI team mates. :P
If they are going to lock half of the items behind coop, then no.
If they have it set up in such a way that you cannot progress at a certain point in singleplayer campaign without a coop team for a mission (forced raid in singleplayer campaign), then no.
If they are going to try and force us into coop by telling us "get team mates or suffer" and "punishing but completeable" singleplayer experience, then no.
I’m going to pre order, digital version from the Microsoft store for Xbox.
I’m disappointed with no option for a AI team & also it’s disappointing to hear “raids” will be co-op only. Bad enough now trying to find active people to get task force challenges done that can’t be soloed. Naturally that won’t or shouldn’t be a problem when the game release but down the road... meh!
[edit] Lets hope they don’t stay with task forces as such & let you team up with friends/ randoms.

Also doubt that there's a reason of buying this game for solo when there are class-restrictions and no AI teammates....
I guess you can not, because it was neither Apache, nor Cobra in Wildlands.Originally Posted by KunninPlanz Go to original post
