They DO NOT have your back AT ALL.

I hope this will be a thing of the past. Very, very annoying.
just in case you didn't know, you can disable the AI function so they will no bother you at all

You based single player as a lonewolf experience. Ok, with that, this is no longer a Ghost Recon game as Ghost Recon is squad based. This is a huge disappointment for the majority of Ghost Recon fans and I highly suggest thinking of a way to bring in game AI Teammates and lose the momentary AI teammate drones. It has been demanded over and over to improve AI behavior and commands, not get rid of AI. What's even more bothersome is that you can have a squad when you play with friends? So how does having 3 other Ghosts randomly appearing on the island fit in the story? How does it make sense that when they leave (sign off), the main character is abandoned?

Prone camo sounds fun, looks cool and I get that you were inspired, but it makes no sense. You would be in better cover if you low crawled into some foliage. It's somewhat feasible in the snow, that is, if the professional hunters don't find your tracks leading to the pile of snow you buried yourself in. The bigger question is, if mud has an effect on enemies detecting you, then does wearing camouflage that fits the environment have an effect? If you think laying out in the mud is effective, then so should the camouflage.

I noticed though that player movement slows down when aiming. This seriously needs to be changed. The character should be able to rush, walk, and creep even while the gun is at the shoulder. This is an authentic tactical movement, so why penalize a player while aiming?

Beyond that, I liked that you took in feedback from Wildlands, but I'm surprised that no effort was made to improve AI and player aiming movement in this game.

Great looking game! Nice work Ubisoft. However, please bring back AI Squads......that's the whole purpose of Ghost Recon. Recommend an option to include or not include AI squad members. Then, everyone is happy.

    Yes, I knew that but...

the point of this game is to play as a team and as for Wildlands it makes no difference whether you turn AI team on or off.

They don't keep you save even if the enemy is walking 1 meter away from them and you are about to be detected.
The teammates just don't give a sh1t which is bad for immersion imo.

Thank you Ubisoft, for actually listening to the community unlike other companies. The gameplay looks neat. Ghost Recon will always have a special place in my heart. You guys always give quality. Wildlands was awesome, and now Breakpoint looks even a ton more fun. Glad I pre ordered the Ultimate Edition. I did so too with Wildlands and did not regret a single second. But please keep working on the game like you said in the trailer. Me and my squad of friends are waiting for 4 october.

The AI squads are the heart of Ghost Recon. They need to be a part of it. And the one thing I didn't like about Wildlands, is where is the high tech Ghost equipment? The Wolves seem to have it but the Ghosts are running around in jeans and baseball caps. If they wanted to make it a solo character game, Sam Fisher doesn't seem to be doing anything at the moment.

    Long-time player, first time forum..-mer

I've been playing GR since the very beginning and there are things that I personally really enjoy about GR:BP and things that I really don't. In short though, I don't hate the game or how it was portrayed and I'll certainly be buying it because I love GR. That said... I definitely am not responding to GR:BP the way I did to Wildlands. So here I will be chronicling the things I like the most and the things I dislike the most. Let's begin!

    Pros:
-Environmental camouflage- I personally don't give a rip how it looks; it doesn't look horrible and the main jist for me is that we can now use the biome around us to our advantage and that is something I've been waiting for for a while now.

-Bivouacs- FINALLY! I've always known GR to be its own flavor of crazy here and there with the high tech, sci-fi stuff and I'm a geek for that; I'll always love it. At its root though, when the fancy gadgets falter or fail, you (the player) are still an elite operative and you still have a job to do. I feel like we haven't had enough of that in recent years, especially with Wildlands. This adds to the immersion for me and really gets me in to that proper warfighter frame of mind.

-The Technology- I've been saying this on YouTube and Instagram and I'll mention it here: GR:BP gives me some heavy Ghost Recon: Phantoms vibes and those of you who have been there know exactly what I'm talking about. Especially the focus on the world of tomorrow, traitorous ghosts, and militarized drones. I don't try to RP my toons as run of the mill spec ops, I roll them like what the games have always made them out to be: Tier 1 soldiers, pioneering futuristic warfare. I'm hoping that the tech won't become a crutch or, worse yet, a bolster but I trust you guys (Ubi) to pull it off. Either way though, just the trailer has yanked my nostalgia from its resting place and hopes are high. Don't let me down, I beg of you.

-The Scenery- This kinda piggyback's off the last point I made which is the futuristic aspect of it all. Now don't get me wrong, the wilderness and wildlife and whatnot are spectacular, and a nice reprieve from the sweltering south american grime that made up most of the previous Bolivia experience, but the thing I like the most about the setting here is the architecture, believe it or not. If there's ever been anything that postmodernism has contributed to the world, its architecture. (And only architecture)

    Pic Related.

-New Breach Mechanics- This is gonna be quick; I made do just fine without it in Wildlands but that doesn't change the fact that it's been about time for some while now. Long time coming but am glad to finally see it at long last. Again, it adds to the immersion and also, the game gets incredibly boring when you're infiltrating somewhere and don't have even the slightest bit of control over how that happens. It can feel very static and routine and that's been a large gripe of mine since in my eyes, GR has thrived as being a very fluid and unpredictable game wherein, the player determines how things go.

There are plenty of other Pros I could touch on but these are my choices for the forum rn.
    Now for the bad...

    Cons:
-No A.I.- I knew something sinister was going down when I saw what definitely looked like Weaver being shot in the back, Holt being strangled to death, and Midas being executed. So the whole thing starts us off with the perception that we've just been shot down and in a short time, everybody dies but us... But wait... All of the sudden then, there's a brand new batch and they're using the lingo too. Your guys' Q&A determined that you intend for the game to either be played with friends.. or lone wolf. (No pun intended) I can respect that but the A.I. teammates have been a huge part of GR and truthfully, it kinda sucks to know that if my buddies aren't online, I'm going to run it alone. Not only is that somewhat daunting but also, it worries me simply because I know that if I'm trying to bring the wolves to their knees all at my lonesome (truly alone) I will get bored of the game very quickly. Idk if you show it in the game but the trailer still looked quite vague and in all honesty... Fiction rule #2 applies: If I don't see the body destroyed, I can't verify that they're dead. Even if they do die though, which I can painfully accept, you still showed a good lookin' squad which are, apparently other players but you've proven that the game and mechanics clearly support a team based approach to combat so... I still think it can be done. If you guys plan on changing anything between now and the release, that would be top of my list.

-The Weapons System- The whole color coding thing has me deeply concerned. It works in The Division because that's an RPG. Ghost Recon, while it's ripe with Role Playing content, is not an RPG and never has been. I worry about the implications of having that kind of rarity system in a game like GR. If you guys think you can pull it off, then it's your game so go for it but not if it compromises the gunsmith or changes the way we build our characters.

-Online Only- The necessary connection to the internet kinda sucks too, imo. Internet connection can always be faulty and depending on it for your gaming experience can be a real drag sometimes if you end up cyclical disconnects and reconnects. If that doesn't throw a wrench in things, then Idk what does.

-Nomad- Like the Pros, I have a lot more Cons that I could touch on if I didn't have to get ready for work soon but this made my radar go off. What happened to Nomad's voice actor?? Was he killed in the initial infiltration as well? Not that this new guy's voice is bad but I've gotten very used to Wildlands Nomad. I can certainly put up with the new one but, truthfully, going to Auroa has got to be the worst career move that the four of them have ever made because the way y'all set it up, they're dropping like flies and now Nomad has Bronchitis.

    ___________

In all honesty though, I don't want to tell you guys (Ubi) how to create your game and I would rather you guys have fun making it but as a lifelong fan of the franchise, I felt it important to touch on some of these points. Not sure if anyone, especially Ubi, will even read this but I've said my piece. Still gonna play the crap out of the game. Thanks for being consistent, Ubi. o/

Not gonna check for grahmur, wurds r hard.

Can someone explain to me what happened on 8:38 and 10:30 in this Official Gameplay Walkthrough video?

8:38 - player shoots above and behind enemy and enemy dies! Distance isn't that large. It bullet drop/dispersion that high, that you just need to spray bullets in the direction of the enemy?

10:30 - again, player shoots behind running enemy and that enemy dies! Again, distance is not that big. If bullet dispersion that large, how can we hit targets on larger distances or with single shots (considering that there is craft and survival elements, ammo might be scarce)?

Well played, the voice overs are spot on, who did the voice over for ghost lead?, really like the worn in look of the main playable character and the ripped t-shirt and blood decals, also, the cinematic music was excellent, who composed that score? the faster crouched movement speed looked top notch.Stoked for play.

Any chance of getting the exact clothing and ripped t-shirt model/icon for wildlands?, good job thanks.

I noticed this as have many others. I think its just a problem with the hit registering, what with it being Alpha footage.
