There's been a LOT of backlash online about the sheer amount of monetisation in the game so far, comparing it to the "Free to play" monetisation setup. I can't judge for myself as I've not got the game yet, but I hope this won't be the case for long.
Mind you, I guess the days when you bought a game and it was the full gameyou had access to are gone.

I hate it. I wish they'd stop ramming Sci-Fi elements into places it doesn't belong. I hate it in the AC games and I hate it in this. It's tacky, and kind of tasteless in games where you're using a real culture as a theme. Not their place to mangle that material that way, like.
I hate everything about this game and I'm beginning to hate Ubisoft, too. They should be the best in the world, but they just come across as more insincere and manipulative with each new game. I'd feel ashamed of myself to play any more of this unless I see them humbled first.

well i was pretty happy with the start of the game and it looked really promising, got about 2 hours in and a quick google search to find out they didn't bother too add AI team mates into the game to force people to consume online content and no doubt " raid " content, i know they have stated they will add them in at some point in year one but if they cant say "soon" then they likely havnt started on it and are just trying to bide time and hope people dont refund till they can push it out, but this game will be long dead before they add them in, in 10 months and by that time it might be on sale when i will buy it again. also worth mentioning for anyone thinking of buying the awe full player movement animation of the running and sprinting is cancer to my eyes, this game is essentially a complete RESKIN of the division 2, the central phased out online hub, the random loot crates everywhere, and not to mention gearscore raids, useless missions and stores. I feel like they even used the isolated island just as an excuse not to have to add An ambient civilian environment like wild lands, and that was amazing the landscape is completely bare of anything with just 2 man sentry patrols randomly generated in the dumbest places of the map.and really nothing else going on, even all the outposts and compounds are all exactly the same and have very poor attention to detail. seriously pissed off.
