Will the developers please make an area of the game for the many cheaters online!

I am tired of running into pvp players who’d rather use cheating tools than play fairly. I don’t think your team can stop the emulators bots and rooted devices. I get matched very regularly match with players who have super abilities, please create an environment where the cheaters can go and out cheat one another. It makes the game dull and I don’t want to invest in cards to upgrade knowing that it won’t matter to someone who can play faster because they have cheat codes. There is no strategy when you cheat it is sad that this is common place and even sadder when it is obvious. I think providing an arena for cheaters to play and more monitoring of matches instead of relying on reporting would help. Make a decision, ban players aggressively send a message cause I’m sure the cheater is not spending a dime. You’ll get more honest players willing to spend like myself and increase the margins you desire for the rest of online gaming. You got a good product that could last a long time and out preform this new world of gaming. Maybe I’m naive and the developers have no interest in policing the online experience because your margins are just fine without my dollars. So in closing make an area for the cheaters to play and an area for FairPlay and ban the ones who will no comply. Be bold and tackle this issue.

Im curious: what kind of cheats are you experiencing that the other player is using?

There used to be some energy hacking before it became controlled on server side. Other than that...? It has been ages since I last saw anyone cheating.

However, the PvP is extremely buggy and lag sensitive. Many bugs are known / predictable by now, such as consecutive warcries not working, double hits, units getting killed and coming back again and again, etc, while others are more random.

I believe I experience energy hacks more than anything else.

And you are sure they are actually energy hacking, not just preserving energy as a strategy?

Most players will wait until their energy is full before starting a push. And keep in mind that some units only cost 2 energy to play. During the end of the game there is faster energy generation as well. So a player could in theory play something like 6 units in a row if they are all 2 cost units and they manage to get 2 energy during summoning.

Another thing to keep in mind is the energy average for your deck (you can see it in deck builder). If you only put the best cards in your deck it means your average cost will be very high and you will always be out of energy. So you have to mix it up a bit, add some units that are not as good but cheap to play. And remember not to empty all your energy at once unless you know you wont need any defense.

Back when people were really energy hacking they would summon all the cards in their deck at once and keep using fireball and lightning bolt on your NK like 30 times in a row...

My base energy level is 3 I got outplayed by two neutral tanks at once which cost at least 4 energy. Plus the many common cards played at the same time. Whatever claim is made that this is fixed it is not.

I appreciate you being a cheerleader for this game. I do enjoy this game immensely I have spent money on this game not much but I would like to spend more. I believe the developers are trying to curtail the constant bombardment of cheating that goes on in this type of environment. I also understand that the developers may not have the resources to combat this world epidemic. It is obvious to this player when I am being cheated on versus a Fairplay person. I’m not crying wolf I just want something to be done or at least shown that something is being done. Otherwise I will never have any interest of spending any money on this type of platform that does not appear to be working on the cheating issue as well as making improvements. Also cheaters have gotten savvy and try to make it appear as though they do not cheat which makes it harder to police. I usually go through a five report daily limit to inform the developers of the problem however after a month of consistently reporting suspicious play I feel that the issue is not addressed. I spot more than five players daily cheating.

Conversely I love it when I lose to a better player that makes me better. I learn from a fair loss I want to play better players so I can learn. Cheaters learn nothing of strategy without the training wheels of cheating.

Well, I agree there are a lot of suspicious PvP matches and trust me, I am not a cheerleader for the game in its current shape

If you check out the other threads in the forum, you will soon see that (especially on poor connection) the PvP has a lot of problems. Many of these issues make the PvP behaviour inconsistent: laggy, choppy, buggy, dead units come back to life, double hits, warcries not working, abilities not working, units freezing on the game field, special abilities / deathwishes / warcries with similar kinds of abilities confusing the entire state of units, etc etc etc.

So the reason I asked you about which problems you had is because energy handling is the only thing that is managed by the servers. Everything else is on the clients. And everything else is horribly buggy.

I am sure there are some people who have found ways to cheat by simply dropping or ignoring some network packets or intentionally causing lag in one direction by strangling the bandwidth asynchronously. But I think most issues are simpy related to the problem of letting both clients keep track of the state and try to resolve what is happening when they dont agree.

If they implemented a server side solution then there would only be one state, which is that of the server, and the clients would no longer have to try to agree (and disagree) all the time. And the possibility of trying to alter that state in one of the clients to gain benefits would also go away.

Sadly, server side no longer seems to be on the roadmap and as it stands the PvP can be horribly erratic and broken. This doesnt mean every person you play against is cheating. Some may be, but many of the people you report may simply be victims of the broken client to client architecture and nonexistent focus on fixing known bugs.

I appreciate your technical insight that sounds like a wonderful solution. I’ve seen all the other bugs you mentioned but the one that bugs me the most is some of the invincible players that are out there, they’re not invincible because they’re good, it’s because they cheat. I don’t expect the developers even comment on this because it’s not an “issue” even though data and another reports suggest otherwise.

You tell me how can a player play grand wizard cartman then amazing Randy that’s 10 energy the two other cards at the same time. I’d like to know how I can do that also or am I seeing an illusion?
