I say dumbing down because they’ve nerfed the balls of the last game to placate pve’ers rather it’s normalization, spreading player aout across multiple dz’s etc

Then they dumb the AI down

Nerf this nerf that yada yada

Promise high level gear in dz, change their mind again for pve’ers, now change their mind again for the casuals that don’t even play so that they don’t feel left behind.

I just don’t understand the logic of placating people that hardly play the game and delaying content for folks to catch up.
How are people still not even 500?

How sway? Oh it’s because they’re too afraid to go in the dz where you can actually farm efficiently...

If you’re not going to play the whole game then you shouldn’t have the power to dictate what’s going on with the game and sadly FOR ME, these are the ones screaming the loudest and getting changes that suit them.

It’s just ******ed to me, no offense

If the raid has the highest gs items and these items actually roll higher stats than other items in the game, then there is no purpose to playing anything other than the raid except for maybe gathering materials etc.

If the gearscore of raid loot is higher but has no impact because the stats are basically the same as other 500 loot, simply proves the current controversy that gs is indeed irrelevant in the game. If gs is irrelevant then what is the motivation to go for 515 or whatever score raid loot is?

What they need to do with regard to the raid is have unique loot and cosmetics that fall there. Gear talents that you can only get from the raid. Also they can tighten the spread of stats on raid loot so you get consistent high quality loot from raid e.g. regular mask can fall with dte rolls from 25 to 50. Raid mask can fall with dte roll from 35 to 50. This way raid loot will consistently be of usable quality.

While all other activities still remain relevant, the raid on weekly reset will be the premier location for improving your build. A similar thing can be done for odz, and heroic content outside of the raid which has lockout, but in lesser effect. So say ODZ and heroic masks will fall 30 to 50.

Back to the raid loot though, i am suggesting something along the lines of new brand sets that can fall ONLY within the raid, and these brand sets can have a few unique talents rolled as well. Doesn't have to roll all the time either. Maybe you get the unique talent maybe you get hard hitting. Rng roll determines.

There are much better ways to design a loot system than simply lazily increasing gear score. So my incentive to grind the raid is to chase after the same berzerk, unstoppable builds but just at a higher gs and with basically a few thousand more armor and maybe 1% extra of stats like DTE or HS dmg? No thank you
    This exactly.

I don't qualify as either, and i still find it hillarious the title blames causals then it changes to blames causal and pve'ers together. The most hardcore players in this game are pve players.

With the changes coming to ensure 500 drops, getting max gear is getting easier (1 RNG element removed from the GS randomization). You would prob just raid a few times then stop as you either will have all the uniques from the raid (better believe if the exotic takes any longer then a week, the forum uproar will happen like nemeis is right now). Just "more" gear is meaningless.
At a certain point you stop anyway if you want to. What is the purpose of going to the raid for higher gs items if the higher gs will only make the raid slightly easier to defeat? Why would you grind to get gear to complete the raid 15 minutes faster after you have already cleared it anyway?

Some people like to grind for every single item for collections others play for the fun of it with a group or even solo, still other are playing to theorycraft builds. Everyones motivation is different, but at some point 99% of people will reach saturation unless you get your pvp fix in this game.

That being said, i believe adding new gearsets and brand sets and talents etc will add more replayability to the raid than a higher gs. Will lend to more builds and more build variaions. Just my opinion

How can pve’ers be hardcore when they’re the first ones out the door in dry spots? You must not have played the first game or any looter shooters ever.

The blame is on massive for moving the goal post to make it easier on people that either A) don’t play the game that much (casuals) or B) don’t play the entirety of the game to get the most out of it (pve’ers).

If only you could understand such a simple notion

Well, you also can say: The masses win... which is nothing bad, at least at the moment. LIke in The Division, the (real) hard challenges will come, I got no doubt about that.

It's not so cut and dry. They have digested the info from the pts and made adjustments accordingly...how many of those who played on the pts fit your description? I'd say none.

SOTG just started and I'm already over it and the game man...can i get my money back. Need that $120 + tax. This is getting dumb at this point. Keep delaying and dumbing the game down for people that keep showing you they barely play the game smh
Makes me sad man... i felt connected with devs in Div 1 days. Now it seems they just don't want any opinion from core audience of Div 1.

Nothing for PvP player. I mean nothing. I wish there was a way to get refund. I ordered Ultimate Edition man. :P RIP

Yeah casuals should actually win every single time considering they are likely 98% of the player base and possibly paid the same money you did... sooo, yeah. The best solution is to stop patting yourself on the back for how much time you spend in a game or how "hardcore" you see yourself and start realizing that the game needs to appeal to 1,000 other players first, and then you.

    Not the other way around.
