Far cry new dawn, I am unhappy with this game and want my views sent to the right department.
Before any company makes a game they need to know one thing, who players there game.
Basic rule 80% of players are guys 20% are women understanding this you make games to reflect,
Far cry has dropped it used to have beautiful views bad villains and likely traits.
This game understands who plays the games and changed everything, the land is full of pink purple
The game is not neutral does not feel real, feels like company wanted to get more females to play the game and went to far,
The game it self seems to only target the 20% and to throw away the other 80%
If this game target feminist this game would be a best seller,
Everything purple from lights flowers flash lights flairs everything every enemy is a women and a strong powerful women as of that,
undertstanding this is where the game went wrong, I understand you need to bring in the extra 20% but pushing the 80% away will hurt sales, if the game
Was nuture not all pink and in ur face sales would rise,
If you would like more of my views on why this game has failed I am happy to share
LOL I thought the Pink was soo off the wall... and it reflected the fact that the twins are Women and I guess love pink.. so their followers spray everything pink.. the flowers on the other hand could have had a few more colors mixed in as I have seen the real super blooms here in Calif. and not as much pink to them.... but.. I personally loved the look and game play (other than the new Idea of weapon leveling up RPG crap) of this small installment to end the story of Far Cry 5.. oh I"m a 60 YO Married male btw! I guess pink does not make me feel like my Manhood is being threatened.. BUT I do want to see the CUTE and cutely dressed Female characters back.. hopefully as fellow team mates for FC6
As for "it doesn't feel real" << LOL It's a Far Cry.. they always have weird stuff in them that is way not close to real... Far Cry 1 had a mad doctor and zombies and deformed creatures,,, FC2 had not as much... Citra and the mythical monster and knife in FC3,, All the mystic stuff in FC4.. Faith seed and the Bliss and zombies in FC5 ... This one actually had less of the less real stuff .. (yes I intentionally skipped mentioning Primal as it was NOT a Far Cry.. or was that other previous Sc-fi add one)
If you are wanting closer to real.. you should not go Far Cry's but Call of Duty's ect and the like..
The pink flowers can fairly easily be modded to another color (blue works best) via ReShade, but they are nothing to do with wanting the game to look female dominated. Here's the thread where PaddyWak and I explain how to implement the ReShade mod. https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...e-it-with-BLUE
The look is akin to the "Super Bloom" that is fairly rare, but lately has occurred two years in a row in California. They simply glommed onto the news surrounding this natural phenomenon and thought it would be a cool look for the rebirth of nature post apocalypse.
That said, they really misrepresented a true Super Bloom by overstating the presence of pink flowers. While a Super Bloom does have hot pink flowers, they're not everywhere you look. That's why some of us used ReShade, not to avert a feminist attack. LOL

Far Cry is developing for majority today....not for only males or females.....not for "super-smart and God chosen" individualities....for majority of people! For everyone. For males and females, for young and old, for "stupids and smarts"...Everyone finds something closer to him in the game. Even gamers who mostly hate shooters play Far Cry! This is an interesting phenomenon - people who don't like shooters but play Far Cry. Must be something in the game that makes them forget their shooters' dislike....beautiful nature, for example. That says only one thing - Far Cry should be more than a shooter! It should grow out of the shooter and become more than just a shooter! Much more.....Crafting, puzzles, strategy, finding objects, exploration, RPG, farming, interactive drama, survival, action adventure, racing... add everything! Developers, take all! Attack in all directions! Take all gamers!
Many of today's games are influenced by the new social trend regardless of being justified or not since that is another subject altogether.
As a female who has played her fair share of shooters, I don't think this game is predominantly made for females. If you want reality in your games FC franchise isn't it and never was. The colors for a post apocalitic game are vibrant but was hardly hidden by Ubisoft and well known before publishing the game. In that regard I don't even understand the complaint. If you looked at one trailer before buying one should have known!
I think you are right that more men play games overall and frankly, I think that will always be whatever the social pushed trend.
Most woman I know, if they game, do it on a tablet, usually candy crush or that type of game.
You are over simplifying and inaccurately stating what has been said about it. I'd been fine with it had they portrayed the Superbloom effect accurately, but it berates actual nature to show it so mundanely monotone. There's nothing wrong with the color pink, but when there are field after field filled with it, then pink graffiti and smoke flares as well, it can easily get tedious. It's called color balance.Originally Posted by N4DAR31GN Go to original post
Below is the most extreme case you'll see in nature regarding pink in Superblooms, and that's after a very rare 2 year back to back Superbloom. Superblooms just one year at a time are not all that common. You can easily see it's not nearly as predominantly pink as Ubi shows it in game. All they needed to do was balance the foliage colors better, and include other colors in the graffiti.
This is how it should have looked in game.

And you're no more than trolling when you don't even convey whom that's aimed at. Not that it matters because you're adding zero to the conversation. You know what people whom add nothing to the conversation while making vague comments are, that's right, trolls.Originally Posted by crunc01 Go to original post
