An option could be implemented for players to select a default stance for all heroes before the match or in the Hero Customization menu to be Left or Right handed default stance.
It will have effect on the directions of all zone attacks and the appearance in battle - some players may prefer for example a Kensei or heroes with shields - heroes that usually cannot fully change stance to have alternative left default stance.

This will affect the hero attacks when not in guard mode. This also is one way to have a zone attack that would come from another direction instead of the default.

The hero default stance could be set up before the game in the menu or eventually if implemented - even in game during battles with a special button/command.
Basically all heroes could be mirrored to have 2 alternative default stances.
This may require a lot of reworking though. The hero position in guard mode will also have to be moved to the other side of the screen so the camera can show the hero properly.
