I apologize to Division community (Feminine customization thread locked)

I just feel the need to apologize to our community here. I was the last one to reply in the "Feminine customization thread" That was recently locked. I'm sure it wasn't all my fault, but it seems like I was the straw that broke the camels back. I only replied in the whole thread maybe 3 times, but I was the last one. I posted a serious reply, followed by a joking reply. This joke was seen as trolling by the "powers that be", which hastened the inevitable locking of the thread.

I know many of you enjoyed the dialogue in that thread, so I feel the need to apologize to the community and the mods. Division 2 is probably the best game I've played on PS4, and I don't want to be seen as the one who crashes the party. Mods please keep this this thread open, at least for a week or two, so everyone can see my apology. If anyone else feel the urge to apologize, please reply below.

Nah man, they just used it as an excuse to close the largest suggestion thread that they have no intent on addressing. Lock it and pretend it never existed.

The progressive movement dictates that women cannot look sexy in video games anymore. If you're wondering why the women in games look so terrible and de-sexualized, it's because of progressive radical third wave sex negative feminism. I've researched it for quite a while. It's basically Anita Sarkeesian's brand of sex negative feminism.

I remember a time when the game industry wasn't so prudish,t hey embraced the 1970's sexual liberation movement, but now they act like ultra right wing conservatives. The left is all confused right now and make very little sense.

I'll chime in as well and apologize to LuzAriusLive. I did post 3-4 times (very serious posts and included pictures of what I thought was doable) however, my last post was of my character totally distorted and screwed up in game (they weren't photochopped) and it seems like that may have contributed to Killzone's post to get the thread locked.

Like I said, my female character's face totally gets warped, distorted, and bent during game play so this wasn't a case of trolling.

I just wish/wanted much better female customization options.

Well instead of making woman less "sexy" they could make men more sexy.. right ? so they will be more equal? i don't even know what im talking about But look what they have do chris hemsworth in endgame..

Anyway i believe there are at least 3 good woman faces.. Which is okay because you need just one for character. And for body i think it's okay as well because they look fit as they should be for "soldier carrier". i would not like to see some waifu semi naked *** in that game.

How about we play games to play the game and not just to stare at our "sexy" on-screen characters. They probably locked the thread because the concept of adding make-up, sundresses, and heels to a post-apocalyptic warzone was terrible and extremely immersion-breaking. If this were an anime or resident evil or something, maybe. But this is the Tom Clancy universe, and it's meant to be somewhat realistic and believable. If there are actual bugs and glitches with the way female character models move, that's one thing. But it's bad enough that 90% of the SHD is either wearing hunter masks or some other enemy uniform, they don't need to add anymore unrealistic clothing options.

You bring up a interesting point about how women would dress during a apocalyptic societal break down scenario. I doubt women would wear anything tight or revealing. In combat I think they would try to hide anything that would hint that they were female. Women in the U.S. military actually have special training on this, because lots of horrible sadistic things can happen to women if they get captured by the enemy. The U.S. military still has not allowed women into infantry units because of this.

We'd probably see a situation where women reverted back to their traditional roles of taking care of the camp or settlement. And the men would be the ones out patrolling & fighting. If there are no women alive to have babies, then the settlement would eventually die off. One man can impregnate 100 women, but one woman can only have one mans baby. That's why it's more important for women to stay alive than men.

^ That being said, I still think the females in Division 2 should have more feminine clothing options.Because it's a video game & it's cool. Tank tops & tight capri's are cool. A dress is a little much though lol. However we are Division agents. Americas last reminder of the life before the virus.

Actually, women have been allowed in combat roles in all branches of the U.S. military, including JSOC, since 2016. And you're talking about a rigid class-based society that may or may not result from a post-apocalyptic scenario. A situation where women were required to stay in the settlement and produce children and the men were the only ones allowed to leave would likely cause problems in today's society, even if that society was mostly destroyed by a deadly virus because it's not like people would just forget how things were before. Especially considering we still don't know exactly how many people died of the green poison.

My issue isn't with there being females in combat, it's with there being anyone running around with dresses and heels in combat. And you know, in our modern age of inclusiveness, they would have to make those options available for male characters as well. Yeah it's "just a game" but if I wanted to play a ridiculous game with ridiculous characters I would play saints row or something. I play Tom Clancy games for tactical immersion (which is why I stay far, far away from Rainbow Six Siege and its K-pop star operators that would probably make Clancy roll over in his grave).

Tank tops and tight clothing, fine. But I do recall in that previous thread there being a lot of talk of shampoo and beauty products and whatnot, which certainly wouldn't be on the mind of any combat-minded individual (which I assume you would need to be in order to be recruited by SHD), be it a male or a female or whatever.

I agree, but I also think it's the game industry creating more realistic animations with graphics tech they have. Take tomb raider for example: I doubt a real life Tomb raider would look like Angelina Jolie. Jumping off mountains & stuff. Rhonda Rousy is more realistic. In the 90's Tomb Raider had to have big breasts because otherwise you wouldn't be able to tell she was a female with 16 - 32bit tech. The point I tried to make in the locked thread was, the NPC women in Division 2 are pretty feminine. I think our debate was that they didn't make the playable character as feminine as the NPC females.

People like to bash Mass Effect Andromeda for their horrible facial animations & horrible facial customization. But the overall body design of the famale "Rider" was as feminine as it gets. Wide hips, thin waist, c-cup chest, feminine walking motion capturing. Just for the record, I actually like playing with female avatars in RPG's. I think it's called having a "Ripley complex". I'm watching my character as a 3rd person, and feel more concern for the female characters well being than I would a male. In a FPS I would rather be a male, because I actually see myself playing in the game.

My last reply was actually meant for LuzAriusLive. My mistake

The U.S. military is constantly evolving, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

There are many variables that are opening up doors for women to join infantry. The U.S. military in particular is quickly moving towards Robots & AI doing all the fighting. So in these last days of human combat, why not let the women join. Then 10 years from now the Chappies, Terminator HK drones, RoboCops, Blade Runners will be doing all the fighting. At that point all humans, men & women will become obsolete. Pray to God that the person or Government controlling those Robots has a good heart. You see it with the Black Tusk Robots. In the next DIVISION game, we will be fighting robots. PS5 launch game DIVISION 2145.

I understand your point about makeup & high heels.
