Op Oracle Glitch (Known or Otherwise?)

Ssssooooo I finally got around to trying Op Oracle.

    Spoiler:  Show
After meeting Walker and the Pax (Daniel), the Team AI and me shoot our way out to the outside. Neither the Pax or Walker follow us. So, I have to go most of the way back inside, the facility; I find the Pax OK who will now follow me (NO bleeping sign of Walker at all). We get back outside; hop into a vehicle and start towards the safe house marked on my map. I get the Bowman phone call and as we're talking I get a "Mission Failed" screen and am returned (via an auto save reload) to the inside of the facility with all the various AIs and just before the shoot out starts.

Needless to say----I was less than amused [vigorous cursing didn't help; though I felt better ].

Is this mission known for being bugged/glitched?

Am I supposed to be accompanied outside to extract to the safe house with Walker in addition to the Pax (Daniel)? TY!

Walker should "depart" (despawn) when you and the package reach the train depot on exiting the lower complex. There's that verbal exchange between Nomad and Walker. For me Walker is on autopilot; he's not controlable.

However, consequent to the update, I have been noticing an increased incidence rate of two phenomena:

    1. Inability to lead VIPs (occurred with the engineer and Bowman on Oracle, as well as thrice today in the daily challenge with La Gringa).
    2. (NEW - as of the latest update) Extracting a secured VIP towards an RV with available transport [ground/air (BTW Oracle VIPs or Walker will not board aircraft)], and the game registers a false positive WRT "Target too far away", and fails the mission. This occurred twice for me with the engineer in Oracle - Phase 1 on the railway tracks using the supplied Unidad AVs, and once today with La Gringa upon extract from the hacienda using a Unidad Black Hawk.

When attacking a convoy using a columnar break (ie. for SB C4 kills), one of the two occupants of the target vehicle (unconfirmed if driver or passenger) survives the blast.

Thanks Mike and V4MPiR1. Looks like a case of "it done got me too!"

What really torques me off is I can't quit out of the mission and do something else, I don't have a manual save before Op Oracle start to fall back on, and I can't slap any of the AI in game!

C'mon, Flanker----suck it up! Ghosts never quit!

LOL. It's worse when there's a timer (ie. 3 mins on La Gringa). After multiple attempts of engaging-disengaging "E", then "pushing" the NPC one foot at a time, attempting to free them from broken coding... I had 30 secs left on the timer... so I put a canoe through her head to fail-restart.

Its a crap shoot alright, twice I tried it re spawning a few times all the way back to the fight) because I thought I had done something wrong but I now know it is not me... sometimes Daniel just gets up and goes on his own getting in front of me, once I died because I tried to get ahead of him to stop him only to get shot in the back by Unidad while I was making him stop. Some other time he will stay behind to the point that you gotta go back for him, and my favorite, he won't get in or out of the vehicle.

Oh, once I was driving on the right side of the tracks (still it makes a noise like if I am driving on the tracks ) and all of a sudden the Jeep lost control and ended up on its side, well, I and 2 of the flower pots got down while Daniel and 1 of the dweebs decided they were afraid of heights and wouldn't get down

Isn't that Walker the same guy who started on the TV series Walking Dead? I don't recall his voice being so over the top in that show and I have not watched "The punisher" but I guess this is how he talks there too?... why do they think that is cool? personally I feel like someone is grabbing and pulling on his danglies when he talks like that.

As they say, once you wrap your head around all of the annoyances and aggravations, the mission can be enjoyable even if heavily scripted... the second part is the same rinse and repeat but it was a better plot and it made you think twice about Bowman.

I wanted to mention earlier, I've yet to encounter such a situation with the lead/stop feature not functioning correctly (keep fingers crossed). For example done La Gringa twice with two different characters since the update, and no issues. Mystery indeed ...

Maybe I should avoid joining you in co-op... it might be transmissible.

I completed the mission (thanks to the input/tips!---I knew what to look for to know the mission was proceeding correctly) on my third attempt. Walker's behavior was just fine after the first try. Stayed right with me, got the dialogue; went our separate ways when scheduled. Daniel.............................Sheesh! What a glitched pain in the ***. Couldn't get him to move; all he did was cower and shake up against a wall (with his head clipping into the wall most of the time!). Tried umpteen times to bump him into moving; like that lame technique had a snowballs chance. Kept moving further toward the base exit with the TAI and Walker; clearing the enemy AI as they came to us.

Got all the way out to the tunnel entrance; put the TAI on hold and went back to Daniel a last time----he starts following me just fine when I walk into the room where he's cowering??!! No idea why.

I have to admit I might have felt a bit of unprofessional pleasure when Walker "debriefed" him in Mission 2.
