Hey all,
I have been conjuring up in my head how i would of liked TD2 to of been, but i will say i love TD2 and play everyday even though i ain't really getting any upgrades, just for the fun of things and having a laugh.
I ain't really thought it through 100% so there maybe loopholes or just damm right not achievable but hey, it's just a thought.
I know if somebody reading this the first thing they might think is "OMG......look how hard it is to get gear"
Well this is why i conjured it up, it's just way to easy to get gear in this game and the rng on stats is pretty bad.
I would say about 99.8% of loot i get is sold.
Anyway, enough blabbering on here is my kinda TD2:
Levelling:
1-30 gear scales to your level, by the time you reach level 30 your gear score should be around 225, if it ain't then you will have to farm more to unlock WT1 which requires gear score 225 to unlock.
Note: All missions and side missions are repayable
Loot:
Loot drops only from bosses and should be less RNG based with stats but yield mid to high stats rather than very low too high stats.
Side Missions (boss only)
Main Missions (bosses only)
Raid (bosses only)
Loot quantity is higher the higher the difficulty and the bigger the mission.
The difference in difficulty between each tier is very noticeable and gear score must be met to unlock the next tier.
WT1
Normal Missions: 250 items
Hard Missions: 275 items
Need to be gear score 275 to unlock WT2
WT2
Normal Missions: 300 items
Hard Missions: 325 items
Need to be gear score 325 to unlock WT3
WT3
Normal Missions: 350 items
Hard Missions: 375 items
Need to be gear score 375 to unlock WT4
WT4
Normal Missions: 400 items
Hard Missions: 425 items
Need to be gear score 425 to unlock WT5
WT5
Normal: 450
Hard: 475
Challenging: 500
Heroic: 525
Raid: 550
Both roaming bosses and bounties should be difficult.
Roaming bosses and bounties to be shown on map showing what item level they are, the item level they are is the item level of loot they will drop, total of 1 drop.
Crafting:
Unlockable in WT5 at max level, no need to upgrade the bench.
Each mission you complete gives you a unique crafting part that can be used at the crafting station
Side mission boss on normal give 1 part
Side mission boss on hard gives 2 parts
Side mission boss on challenging gives 4 parts
Main mission bosses on normal give 2 parts
Main mission bosses on hard give 4 parts
Main mission bosses on challenging give 6 parts
Main mission bosses on heroic give 8 parts
All parts come in item level so for instance, if you done:
WT5 normal mission you will get a 450 part so you will be able to craft a 450 item
Or
WT5 heroic mission you will get a 525 part so you will be able to craft a 525 item
Parts needed to craft a item is (8) plus your usual other parts needed for crafting
Blueprints:
Bosses from main missions and raid can drop blueprints, the harder the difficulty the better the quality blueprint.
Example:
Normal mode: Grip 8% stability
Hard mode: Grip 10% stability
Challenge mode: Grip 14% stability
Heroic mode: Grip 18% stability
Raid mode: Grip 22% stability
Control points:
Only basic crafting parts can be obtained from these
The higher the difficulty the more parts you will get
Re-Calibration:
1 x Attribute
1 x Talent
Can be changed.
Selling items:
All items sold will give credits that can be used to buy crafting parts
All items dismantled will give low volume crafting parts but can have a chance to yield a unique crafting part, the higher the item level the more chance of getting a high level unique crafting part.
Example: Dismantling a 450 gear piece may give a 450 unique crafting part
Loot boxes around the map:
Should only contain apparel (game needs to have a much bigger clothes cupboard)
Low level random enemies around the map should drop: Crafting Parts.
Exotics: Not got a problem with how to obtain them, I like the way to obtain the Chatterbox was done, maybe once the parts are obtained and the blueprint is obtained you will need unique crafting parts to craft it, just like the crafting side above.
I can feel the flaming coming, but hey, it's just a thought that will never happen
