    Dodging vs cover

So everytime I try to dodge an enemy, I somehow do not dodge but get in 'cover' instead. This makes me get killed so many times I gave up on even trying to cover or dodge at all. Also the combat is so damn slow on this point it just feels like fighting in slow-motion and makes my senses go numb will fighting the sponge enemies.

I can't believe an agent can't move faster than this.... Btw they should just add different keybind for the two movement.

I have been frustrated by the same thing so many times. Sometimes you want to dodge as it seems best in the situation and you end up stuck to the side of some car or box or wall..... NOT what you wanted to do and a gift to your enemies. Dayam its a hoser.

I agree the movement cover system felt sooooooo much better in D1. I'm constantly getting caught latching onto cover and having to spam A to get away. Then when I wanna take cover its slow to put me in. Very clunky...

Yeah the combat movement is extremely sluggish.

I wish they had adopted a gears of war style so you can actually use skill to get out of tight situations.

Now it's pretty much just give up if you get in trouble since there is no way out of it.

This has killd me endless times, somteimes I dodge a greneade only to take cover again in the same position without pressing the cover button, it's like roll out, roll back in straight away. For turning corner in cover I think there is a setting in the settings menu that allows fast cornering if you turn it on.

same to often I try to roll away and get stuck on some cover being an easy target for whatever im trying to dodge away from. Usually I die then . For some reason its at times also not that easy to unstick to cover which also gets me killed.

I don't know how it is on PC, but on consoles I follow the double tap rule when on cover. When you double tap when on cover, it'll launch you directly in the opposite direction the cover is facing, regardless of camera direction, which I often use for grenades.

I don't roll usually unless there's no cover and I'm out in the open. At that point I'm more worried about finding another cover to be behind. Might just be how fast I perform the operation that I don't realize I am sticking to the cover before I pull myself away from it. If I have to dodge while near cover, I make sure I start moving in the direction I want to roll before pressing the button.

Just last night in the middle of a fight I accidentally vaulted over my cover instead of rolling, got stuck on top of the cover and couldn't get off, resulting in my death. The movement is goofy and sluggish, how can I vault onto something and then not be able to get off?

Yes agreed, the movement sucks in this game.
