So I did some Googling regarding this place called 'Auroa (Motu Ahurea)'...

Motu Ahurea, or Auroa, is one of the islands of French Polynesia, located in South Pacific.
To be more specific, it's part of Tetiaroa, which is known to be Marlon Brando's private island.
It's located east of Tiaranu, right next to Tauini.

It's only about 150m from east to west, and 350m from north to south.
It's too small to be the stage for a whole game so I'm thinking the whole ring of islands that Auroa is part of is the stage for the new game.

If it is a game, that is.

I don't know about you guys but from the looks of it, this doesn't seem like something I'd look forward to.
I don't think there'd be that much to do in island(s) this small.

I'm starting to doubt if this is even going to be a game.
I really, seriously hope I'm wrong, though.

If it does take place here, then it doesn't have to follow 100% just like the Bolivia we have. The location will be reimagined and even if they really want to use islands setting, then they could include other islands, even create fictional ones.

Look at PN Agua Verde. Nowhere in Bolivia you can find a Hawaii resort and island in the middle of the country.

Now juga imagine the next map is basically like PN Agua Verde. One or two major island and small ones around.

Not sure about it, but isn't that in the same Area as the infamous Mururoa Atoll, where the French did Nuke Testing?
    Could be a nice Setting.

As I said, my geographic Knowledge in that Corner of the World isn't good, so I might be completely wrong.

    I did some research.
Indeed it is a very small island but there are other islands in the same area so that could mean a couple of things if indeed takes place there.

    1. Is a DLC
    2. They are going to finally get rid of the stupid open world type of game and instead go for a sandbox mission type (which I doubt)

Remember at the end of the day this could be like GRAW and GRAW 2 a game with no so many changes in the gameplay and animations department maybe with some new additional animations and new character models (which Wildlands needs but it seems is not going to get unless is a dlc) and of course a new story.
And also the current content the game has but done better.

Or this is indeed a DLC, which means that the island would make sense, remember Fallen Ghosts and Narco Road didn’t use the whole Bolivia map, so in this case, it would be a similar small to mid-size map and for a DLC that’s fine. This DLC may be follow by updates to improve the core game and the other dlc’s.

Do not eat your head with whatever may be coming, as there is no way to be 100% certain about what they are going to do. If you like it or not is irrelevant, if you don’t like something just don’t buy.

Well GRW is a third person Far Cry with some tactical elements so it wouldn’t be surprising.

The timing does suggest a DLC or a very limited new title. They've only just started working on it.
