Laser Swords.. Possible visual setting? | Forums

I honestly loved the May the 4th event they had on, and playing the game during this time was truly an awesome experience. I understand it may take an essence of realism away from the more serious players, but can I suggest perhaps having this as a visual option you can toggle in the settings? Something similar to the No Decapitations setting for example!

That amazing lightsaber event on may 4th got me and some other players talking. We wished dearly for a way to make that effect a permanent option. Thus spawned this idea:

Adding a seperate category to the emotes/execs/signatures/effects menu which controls "in guard" effects, or in other words, effects which activate under the same conditions as the lightsaber effect from the event. This category's effects would not apply to the whole character, like most effects do, but instead ONLY to the weapons. This would bring in a way to make the lightsaber effect more permanent, but also introduce other cool effects like Flaming longswords, divine glowing blades, katanas imbued with the force of the wind, or axes sparking with electric currents. This would be a cool way to further customize our characters' looks, but also yet another category of ways to make money off us! I know you can't ignore the language of money!
