I just opened my Twitter few minutes ago and found about this (late by an hour). It's late, I'm supposed to be sleeping, but thanks to Ubi I'm still awake.

So instead of hyping non-sense, let's just find clue to break down for the moment:

1. It's from Ghost Recon Twitter.

**The Ghost Recon typeface is using the rebranded one for Wildlands.

2. Profile Picture changed to white skull

3. When I pressed LIKE, I immediately got a mention from Ubi, says "@[insertTwitterID] Thanks, Ghost! Look forward to intel coming May 9"

With this picture:


4. Skull logo in Profile Picture is the usual Wildlands Skull (white, with diagonal lines), except with a three notches. Two in the forehead, one in the upper lips.

5. Skull logo in the teaser video transits from (white) Wildlands Skull into a grey cloudy or steel-ish Wildlands Skull with wretched forehead.






My speculation: considering the skull, I'm taking this is a Wildlands sequel much like Advanced Warfighter and Advanced Warfighter 2. It's a bit steep to expect a brand new engine however considering the 2 year gap, so I expect that it may be something like Far Cry New Dawn and Primal where there are notable improvements, meanwhile the map may be an altered Bolivia or new country that some asset may look similar to those in Wildlands' map.

Either way, brace the hate train once again cuz people sure love to hate.

I'm expecting the best whatever it is, Ubi. Looking forward to it.

You are right that whatever it is there will people hate it. Hell, people will hate the teaser just because, like you said, that's what they do.

That being said I'm very excited about this. New game or DLC I can't wait to see what it is. Love this franchise, and especially love Wildlands.

I'm skeptical about the announcement of a new game, "Premiere" makes me think more of a new chapter of Amazon's Tom Clancy's series concerning ghosts or the movie

Don't care about the people. I'm already loving it if it will be open-world setting. And, well, considerind literally all modern UBI games are open-world ... I guess if it is indeed a new game and not addon, it's an open-world =)

could be a standalone expansion like far cry 3 blood dragons but larger

new map new guns new story same base mechanics

or it could be a totally new game with a significantly bigger budget

I'm gonna guess the latter on this one

This is my feeling too. Premier makes me think more along the lines of movies. If it really is about a game, maybe the reveal will be a live action or animated short film about the next GR

The fact that it all of the promos DO NOT have Wildlands in the title has me assuming that this will not have anything to do with Wildlands. This may be a teaser for next month's E3, or like Playstation, Ubi won't be attending E3 and this is the road they are taking. This is likely a new Ghost Recon game

I just realized that the eye sockets here look like a couple of island. Overall, with the topographical outlines and with the grid, it looks like a map.
