Poor design choice
I keep finding myself getting annoyed at the poor design choices that have been made in this game, it feels like one step forward 2 steps back from what D1 was/is. Firstly the specializations which just pigeon hole you into a spec you may not even want to play but feel you have to due to the way it buffs your favorite weapon type. Then lets take a look at the skill trees a bit more, there is no choice what so ever in those trees, you just fill in the blanks and done, boring as … Personally I think there should not be 3 specialization trees, there should be just 1, a bit like the darkzone tree where you choose one of 3 talents per tier and upon reaching the end you choose the spec you want.
Next comes crafting, what a total waste of time this is, endgame crafting blueprint should all be 500 gearscore, or even 515 when that is introduced, increase the mats required for making an item I don't care, but I can tell you now I will never craft a thing under the current system. If I could craft items at max gearscore I would put so much more time into this game to farm the mats required, we all know that even if you could craft max level items it is still a lottery what you get and really not far different from killin any boss for a loot, so why make crafting so bad? it should be a pillar of this game.
Exotics, I should not need to follow a guide to get these, that leads to my immersion being broken and me no longer playing the game for myself, the sense of satisfaction greatly diminishes when you have to resort to looking on youtube to find out how to get something done, call me old school but I come from an era where this was not even possible... put the gameplay back in this game, I don't want to play/paint this game by numbers, I want to play it for myself and figure thing out for myself, so stop making it so difficult that it requires a community effort, same with hunter masks, I have 1 of them and that was only cos I answered a call for backup and helped a guy on one, I have no interest in following a youtube guide to get these, that is not gaming to me.
One other thing that annoys me is the inconsistency of vaulting and climbing over objects, it's like the devs forgot to add it to half the world enviroments that look like you can jump/climb over, I'm constantly attempting to vault/jump over things that I should be able to but cant, and even occasionally my character gets stuck on curbs... again, this is so immersion breaking to me and really spoils my enjoyment of the game.
To end I just want to say I love the gunplay in this game, the game has great potential and I want to put more time into it, but things need to change because right now its pretty much a mess.
