I for one would love to get my hands on one of those compound bows the hunter guys have in the open world. It's already coded into the game just make it have similar stats like a sniper rifle. Low rate of fire. Weapon could function like the nemesis in that it has a draw time.
Other weapons I would love to see.
Boomerang/Glaive head hunter weapons... critical head shot weapons with travel times (ALWAYS returns) IF you hit these then they do MASSIVE damage
special powders specifically for CC builds
dart type weapons focused on DoTs

Well... as much as most of us(maybe) would love to see more weapon types I highly doubt that they'll add new categories. In my opinion, the only way we can see such weapons (boomerang/compound bows, etc.) is with new Specializations.
It's a good suggestion but at this point, there are more important things that they need to add/fix because at this point the game is useless to play, especially that we don't have a weekly project which rewards us with a blueprint...

I know people have a fetish for weapons but they struggle to make the game balanced for weapons as it is. In almost every catagory at least 50% of the weapons are trashed immediately. More in some catagories. I wouldnt want to see more weapons added for no other reason than they will just be adding more trash and making it harder to get something decent.
That said. You are division agents with access to the latest tech. Some more exotics would be nice. The pistol would be the first one I would add as the 'Liberty' is junk. Tired old desert eagle fetish, yawn yawn yawn.
Something more fun like the Chinese laser that can set someone on fire up to half a mile away. ok range is irrelevant in this game, but lets say you have to hold the rifle on target for a certain period of time doing no damage but then they burst in to flames for some serious damage and the longer you hold the beam on target the more damage is done, lets say the flames last for x amount of time but that timer only starts once you take the laser off of them.

Go back in time to rocket propelled ammunition for a marksman rifle where damage is increased the further way the target is.

Strange designs that were never adopted like the TKB-059, a triple barrled, bullpup, that could burst fire up to 1800 rpm.
