I have seen a similar post, so I apologize if this is repetitive.
Can we get a cooldown increase, or simply a basic cooldown, on some of the NPC skills. It is extremely annoying to constantly get blasted out of cover by drones, tonka trucks and robot war ankle-biters that seem to be on a spam feature, then have to deal with triple air-grenades, etc... This is made even worse when the NPC in question is an elite or named mob.
I know that's true sometimes there's so many "BUM BUM" things that it becomes annoying...
But NPC should do something dangerous. If you increase CD fine but increase damage... So it would be easier to deal with for example exp. drones. But if you fail on that you get more punished. Or maybe increase CD on low difficulty only.
Because by listening this type of feedback (no offence).. soon the NPC will be just stand still doing nothing to make sure player wont get hurt..
I would be perfectly OK with increased dmg (it is a bomb at the end of the day). I just get frustrated in some challenging/heroic scenarios when you have to shoot a truck, then dodge/kill/unload an entire clip or two into runners rushing you, then get staggered because that truck just came back seconds later. Or having to jump around a garage like an acrobat dodging more bullets than the Terminator can put out, finally getting under cover, then getting blown up because the drones you just killed are back overhead.Originally Posted by Melo_99 Go to original post
Well you can stop rushers with grenade or turret. or just retreat a bit backwards. Usually you want to shoot drones right when they spawn above enemy head.. BTW enemy even shout when they do that... My biggest issue is grenade launcher guys that shoot 3 of them in fast sequence. Worst part is that you get kick out of cover and before you get back to cover BUM! and you are out againOriginally Posted by Shdw_Phnx Go to original postBut as i said they should do that.. They should try to get you out of cover they should try to flank you.. and challenging and heroic difficulty should be a bit frustrating
...my opinion
Turret doesn't seem to do nearly enough dmg on my end to do anything against rushers (especially in ch/hr mode). Grenades seem to fail as much as they succeed, so not entirely reliable on my end (probably just need more practice with them). Drones, as you said, are often easy as you can shoot them over their heads (they give you a very convenient call out for it) and often will kill the user of them. My issue with them is if I don't see the user sending out the first batch, it usually feels like playing catch up is harder than it should be. I completely agree with the launcher. Dodge or get hit out, and by the time your back under cover, you're getting bounced out again. (though there is a bit of a cooldown on their use after the 3 volley spam).Originally Posted by Melo_99 Go to original post
As far as ch/hr being frustrating, I agree. They should be troublesome. It should take skill to be able to take them down. But spamming certain skills (drones/runners/grenades) feels a little overdone, especially when added to a squad of bullet sponges.
So this isn't spam from a single source. This is RNG in NPC spawned enemies. The easiest way to see this is doing Challenge and Heroic. You'll see 1...tonka truck in red, one in purple, and one in yellow. Same thing with drones.Originally Posted by Shdw_Phnx Go to original post
Hmm, i think incendiary grenade and flame turret stop anything for couple of seconds. Enough time to shoot them while they dancing in flames.. and classic turret deal small but noticeable damage that draw enemy attention and oftentimes rushers decide to retreat when your turret target them. i thing it works good.Originally Posted by Shdw_Phnx Go to original post
But i understand what you talk about. sometimes there's so many drones so many grenades that it puts you into chain of explosion and it's hard to catch up so you'll get into spiral of explosion that eventually puts you down, without chance to do something about it because of perma stagger effect.
that depends a bit, black tusk granadiers can shoot more than 3 times in a row i believe so good trying to deal with thatOriginally Posted by Kalimwulf Go to original post
