There is no respawn timer for players when they are killed by other players. Coming out of a CP that has two teams fighting means that if you start winning the fight they just spawn right behind you and you lose the fight even tho you outplayed them. SHD and Rogue agents deserve a respawn timer when killed by another player.
Manhunt rewards are non existent. You don't get XP for killing players while you are manhunt and only get them for turning in the manhunt reward. Why should I have to end the fun to be rewarded? I hope the devs look at this before they make the changes to the ODZ in the next patch.
Using booster hive and running at a player moving your mouse left and right basically renders players un-hittable due to the poor netcode. Also, booster hive and hip firing.... All shooting should have the same base movement speed as when you are ADS'ing.
Hackers plague DZ east b.c its the first one you unlock. Please keep the ODZ the **** away from east, its the worst one by a design standpoint and the worst for player experience due to hackers almost always being in my sessions.
Patrols have been talked about so I won't delve into that. However, Landmarks send a message to any team in them when another player has arrived by saying "Landmark Engaged". This warning message tips of my team all the time for when other agents are nearby. You need to get rid of this message to allow players to stealth around.
One shots are going to be a thing of the past after next patch. The only real problem with 1 shot snipers is that they can abuse a bug atm where they don't have to actually present themselves to be 100% accurate at 50m. These cheesy players in HVN only have to right click before they left click to headshot you from cover without being able to be shot back themselves. The next patch is removing snipers rifles from the game for PvP by not allowing skilled players to get rewarded for headshots. You should fix your game instead of nerfing the entire weapon class. Players should have to wait on the accuracy bars to come to the center of their scopes before being accurate.
Normalization needs to go, the PvE players whined about the DZ not being forgiving enough and it's not good enough. Now they demand a PvE Darkzone. (AKA a different game than what you set out to produce) The only thing you accomplished by catering to these whining *****es is ruining 2/3's of the playable DZ space for the people who actually do enjoy your genre of game. The DZ was such a huge hit that it birthed an entire game called Escape From Tarkov based on your brilliant idea.
feel good story for the devs, I asked one of my NCO's in the Army if he ever played the division last month. His face lit up and started telling me about how him and his friends played TD1 and the only thing he talked about was the DZ, "theres this place you can go that has the BEST LOOT, but you have to shoot a flare up to call a helicopter to get it out; which tells all of the other players what you're trying to do. Then it turns into this ****fest where everybody is trying to kill you for your loot and is such a rush when you actually win. we had alot of fun with that 1" Your new and improved version of the game was a gigantic leap in the wrong direction.
Give us the ****ing game you envisioned, alot of PoE's success comes from not catering to the whiney *****es. For every person crying on reddit, there are 10 more not complaining and enjoying the game if not more. I don't give a **** about the echochambers opinion. I bought the game because you guys are making it.
Conflict sucks because my build gets nerfed into the ground. Also, people don't play your game for the regular PvP experience that CoD offers. Your game was prized on 4vX, or against a whole server with a big oasis to make plays in. Give us king of the hill with 4-5 different teams fighting over the same location. You would be praised all over the place.
GL n HF!
Edit: LMG's are going to be the only weapons in the game after the next patch that have enough bullets in the clip to kill a player without having to reload.

That build isn't even as unashamed as half the current builds.Originally Posted by J0s3e Go to original post
Deflector drone is the worst of the worst, only matched by shock ammo. Anyone running either of those really needs to realise they aren't any good at the game.Originally Posted by Kisstraszi Go to original post
If you're going to shame him, I would first like to know how many days (not hours) you have logged in the DZ in D1. Because if it is under 60 you're part of the problem with people providing insight to a part of the game they don't intend to play. And Trash talking isn't even a viable thing in PvP with voice disabled.Oh wait if you don't want that experience there is ALREADY an option to disable VoIP. Even though he cursed in the video he posted he brought MANY good points about PvP (that was the point of this thread).
Re spawn timer, I think is good idea, but this needs to paired with an actual rogue mechanic in the ODZ. I don't think they will leave the east DZ out of the rotation for the ODZ and if they did, wouldn't the "hackers" find a way to do the same in other DZs? I do think there needs to be a rouge mechanic (much like rogue 1.0 for the ODZ). And I completely agree with the normalization, I think at WT5 it shouldn't be a thing in ANY DZ. Seems like the only people who want that, don't really play in the DZ anyway. I want a min max build to matter in all DZs. I also think the number of players need to increased so PvP isn't a once in blue moon event. And if you're coming to DZ to get gear it should be a risk vs reward. I also think the "shock turrets" need a limited range. The already small size of DZs are even smaller due to the range of these things. I mean anyone can respawn at any check point, or the safe house. Check point "camping" was never a thing a half way knowledgeable player of the game can tell you that. If they keep running out the same check point it was their choice, not a loop hole in the game. This "cry" from others was people whom didn't play in the DZ much in the first place. Once again don't adjust the game mechanics from people who don't really play that part of the game. I hope the Devs are reading this, the PvP players are leaving fast, and it is shame because the game has potential. I hope this next patch fixes PvP but most of PvP don't voice our opinion in a manner that is palatable. Some of this just the passionate player base unable to find a clear way to express their view. The other majority is the toxic (aka immature) players that are the reason I have VoIP disabled in D1. (yes I still play D1, because it offers the best PvP experience in any game to date. The sequel has potential but with most PvP players just throwing shade or vulgarities, I am in fear that a fix may be long way off. Even big time streamers and YouTubers have left D2, not because of the potential, but how some try to get their point across (PvP players).
He is not going to be taken seriously if he presents a video of him trashtalking others whilst shooting them at the back with a vector and having a shield and deflector drone. I have made a list of suggestions more complex than his 1 week after the game came out. I have over 3k hours in TD1, 2k in the DZ. I intended to play this game and gave it a chance but that time is gone. Until Terry the clueless ****** is in charge it will never be playable.Originally Posted by Sinister_Sentry Go to original post
Can't find it in my history, seems like I've been too active here for my liking. Will list the changes here again from the top of my head:
- Deflector drone needs to go or be changed to provide mitigation based on mods (SP) 10% as a default and up to 40% etc.
- Wallhack in the ODZ. Really?
- Respawn timer. Everyone who enters ODZ is rogue by the default, hence they should have a respawn timer (15-30 sec) That will automatically reduce checkpoint camping.
- Restocks. Limit the amount of nades and medkits in restock, dead players drop 50% of their inventory ALWAYS.
- Carry skill cooldowns over. No skill cooldown reset after death.
- Whoever leaves ODZ cannot re-enter it for 12 hours (with the possibility to leave once to recalibrate gear, change specialisation etc.) Prevents server jumping.
- Players who have one another in a friendlist (or play together often) can not be on the same instance unless grouped (1 group per friendlist on 1 server). Multigrouping is the most degenerate behaviour in a current game. Like 8 people running together, looking to "PvP" on a 12 man server? Really?
- I don't have issues with VOIP, I love the banter. I'm the kind of guy who takes it one ear in and second one out, and unless I get trashtalked I don't enjoy my game. It's a part of it. I've been called a cheater million times in my 20 years of gaming, I've been called much worse and called others much worse. I don't care. If you don't like it, you can turn it off in the menu. But here is an example of TOXIC behaviour - I clear a supply drop in the normalised (not anymore, it's just an example) and a group of 4 comes while I'm killing the last NPC and claims it. Now if I turn rogue and kill them, I can't even tell them "Nice try, I'll take this extra trash you are carrying, come and get it" so what's the point?
- Reduce checkpoints from 6 to 3 in every DZ
- Reduce the amount of patrols roaming around, or the aggro range.
- NPCs need to drop more ammo.
- Shock ammo ....
I'm not going to delve into balancing changes that need to take place and HOW they need to take place (small, frequent patches instead of massive patches changing the entire game) and the current state of the servers (worst infrastructure, players teleporting around, damage being registered with delay or not at all etc.)
PvP really is bad in this game. I love the division a lot, but this game's PvP is and has always been very unfun unless you feel like consulting youtube on how to play your game. There is nothing fun about someone being able to melt you down in seconds while you can only maybe take down their shield in the same amount of time.
I get the idea behind this game's PvP is to be able to show off your build, but right now all people are showing off is how good they are at following some build guide on reddit or youtube. There's not really much room for experimentation, since at any given time there's usually 1 weapon type or skill set that trumps all of the others. And in a game based around RNG, it's a bit unfair that you might not stand a chance against someone simply because they got lucky with their drops.
I'm all for them taking out PvP entirely. I know that would upset a lot of people but I really don't want to see this game go down the same road as Destiny 2, where the PvE and fans of it suffer because if this insane and impossible goal to create balanced PvP in an RPG.
