It's a fairly common practice in MMOs these days to funnel rewards to players over time rather than allow players to set their own pace. Obviously the idea is to keep you coming back in hopes this will be the time you get what you want. This then prevents those with ample amounts of play time to plow through all the content and get everything they want quickly and then lose interest. Unfortunately it also has the consequence of punishing players with more play time as their reward for time played is drastically reduced.
I don't really know what the right answer is here. I know it's a game but it's also a business and it exists to make money, so I understand their need to try and keep people logging in as often as possible. But I also know that I have 0 incentive to login at this point. I haven't gotten any upgrades to my gear in weeks despite my loadouts being far from optimal at this point. No more blueprints from any in game content except the weekly project, which this week doesn't even give one. No capitol hill invasion this week so can't finish nemesis until maybe next week, if we actually get capitol hill. My stash is always full and I'm kind of tired of playing the inventory game trying to figure out if I should keep something just in case a change is made that will make it valuable.
I guess it's break time. But I have a feeling by the time things get changed I'll have already found something else I want to put my time into.
