I quit the game earlier this year, I think in January, but I realized I never explained why.
I actually really like For Honor but I felt the game didn't respect the time I have as a working adult, so I decided to leave it behind.
What do I mean?
When Events come in, so does a huge amount of grind-able content. Their is so much grind-able content that even when I didn't have a job I could not grind enough to get every piece around the time Aramusha came out. Now I am so busy I have played like 2 hours of games in the last month.
The problem with the Grind-able content is that it seems to be exclusive to that event only, even if next year it's a similar event very little of the content comes back. This was shown during the second winter event, none of the weapons reappear so if you missed them for who knows why, they are gone forever.
During the last winter, my father was super sick, and I didn't spend as much time grinding (which might be why I couldn't get everything). In January my father Passed away, which is when I realized this game had no respect for my time. I missed out because life happened, I dared want to be with my father and the game decided to punish me for it.
Many games I play have events, yet if for some reason you miss the event, you can usually get evolved next time and get most of the event stuff, their is always an option for people who had life happen to get the new content, sometimes you have to pay where others got it free, sometime you just have to wait for next year, but their is always an option.
For Honor doesn't care that I have obligations, it doesn't care that Life gets in the way. It punishes you for missing out, by guaranteeing you will not ever get the content.
Now every time I want to play the game I'm reminded that I couldn't get the new loot because my father was sick, that the game doesn't care that I have a real life that I need to actually do stuff in.
I stopped playing because the game doesn't respect my time.
I want to play For Honor, Especially now that you gave raider a rework and it looks good. The new hero looks great.
But trying to boot up the game leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Changing the way events are done, so the grind-ables come back, and so life doesn't get in the way of having fun with the game, would be a huge step to bringing me back.
Hopefully this gets to someone who could change things.
Thanks for taking the time to read this,
Seer of Truths
Edit: it seems I have been misunderstood and I hope to fix that here.
I Like Events, I think with recurring Events, the Event Loot should also be Recurring
hope that helps
Dear Sir
I am sorry for your loss - truly.
However, please look what u are asking for. U are unhappy cause u missed events ? I'll tell u something - **** the events. They are like worthless thing in this game. Feel free to send me invitation and if u want, we will play some. When both our lives won't be a problem for usJust.... U cannot blame someone that he doesn't wait for u with events. Do u blame Walmart that they sold a pack of rice to the guy who was in the store 15 mins before u cause your bus was late? I guess no. Don't leave and enjoy

I don't blame a store for having limited stock.
I can blame a game for engineering time limited stock for the purpose of trying to feed off of someones FOMO (Fear of Missing out)
If they had logistical reasons for taking items then I wouldn't complain but it seems like they arbitrary decided to do this and it has made the game much less enjoyable for me. I play For Honor to look good.
This probably wouldn't bother me if I didn't see other games do it better.
Like I said in the top post most games I have played made it so events are recurring and event loot will return.
I'm not upset that I missed the Event sale of the Event Mask outfits because I know I didn't miss out on the cosmetic itself.
To me it's alienating unnecessarily
Well, if looks are your aims in this game that i cannot help. When u will want to kick some asses, just invite me. Maybe we will kick some Conq's butt with new ultimate stunning tap weaponOriginally Posted by Seeroftruths Go to original post![]()
Temporary events are going to continue to be a thing. They're meant to be something special, and to raise interest in playing for the length of the event. I'm extremely sorry to hear your father was sick and real life got in the way of this one, but there's always going to be another one on the horizon. That's the nature of a live game like FH.
I understand that Events will always be a thing, and I'm not trying to say not to do them. I think Events are great and can add a lot to a game.Temporary events are going to continue to be a thing. My problems come with the way Loot is handled after the event.
Another event will always be coming and some events are even recurring, why not make loot recurring as well?
It's the best of both worlds, the events still add a lot to the game, increase interest, and people like me don't feel alienated because of the real world.
