Oh wow, it's that bad, huh? I've only played the game twice since the update came out and in those 2 days I've been hit by more stunning taps than in the last year and a half (lol), but I didn't think the rework would've been so ridiculous that several people have resorted to PVE.Originally Posted by Vendelkin Go to original post
Lmao, the Raider "rework" has amounted to little more than just an obscene list of buffs that he really didn't need, especially in 4v4.
I could have told y'all it'd end up like this, but everyone wants to talk of "A -Tier, S-Tier, Streamer says this, Tournament that."
Enjoy the Raider cancer, y'all kinda deserve it considering you don't head my warnings or thoughts.
i guess if the devs don't listen to all million of us raider god mode haters we will have to accept it or go on a strike! maybe if a few thousand players quit they will finally listen this time.
I'm basically expecting the next warriors den to dance around the raider like everything is fine and dandy. id be happily surprised if they came out and said... hey we made a huge mistake in the raider buff, lets talk about how to fix him.
I agree 100% IMO he just needed hyper armor on heavies, thats it, but what we got is a joke to anyone who seriously plays this game. Its like they are trying to make the game easier for newer players who just picked the game up. Its an insult to most players who are actual hardcore fans and have poured countless hours and money into the game because here comes some dude named heavyalbatross394572 who bought the marching fire edition for like $40 and just spams soft feints and emotes after every fight. I, like most other players, had to grind and learn all the characters and abilities/ combos for months or years to get to where we are, but not the casuals who are lucky enough to start off with these way too easy to use heros/reworks.
Right?! Raider was my 2nd main and all I wanted was hyper armor heavies. His moveset was solid, his dodge was and still is one of the best in the game and stun tap mixups were great when executed correctly. But now I refuse to play with him because how broken he is currently is.
The problem is that Ubi can't make complex designs when it comes to movesets for heroes. They always want to give fast attacks and Hyper Armor as an answer to everything. That's the worst thing you can do @ any fighting/combat game. If they are going to give high damage, fast lights and hyper armor as a solution to make a HERO viable. That's pretty stupid, dumb & none creative. It affects the game and the rest of the cast.
Affects every other hero that depends from fast lights with low damage. Assassins should be the only heroes with a faster light attack. That's what makes them assassins. For example if I took a shooter game and gave a pistol the same range, damage & bullet speed as a sniper. What would be the point of using a sniper, when you can use a pistol? Exactly! How about taking your time to design more complex moves and not just throw fast light attacks and hyper armor for everything now.
The new hero is also just a copy paste of Centurion but better. Also a poor design when it comes to hero/character creation. We want different attacks to connect to other attacks with multiple solutions & options. No more 1 trick pony heroes & more of a flexible combat/cast. Also having scenarios that can showcase what X rework can do to Y heroes & also update the weaker heroes. Is 2019, you either make changes or just copy paste all over the place.
That strike mentality is basically what every player I know is doing/considering, myself included. The reality is the game isn't fun and there are plenty of other games out there. None of us see the point in playing something thats just frustrating, and all the time we spent learning our class and improveing our gamesense is spat on by the devs when they roll out something like this.Originally Posted by Zombie.Face Go to original post
It seems like the only way a 'live service' style game ever takes notice of an issue is if their playerbase takes a hit. So vote with your time and money. Give it to something else for a while, come back when you can actually enjoy your time on it again.
It could be true, if LB got same insane ready-to-dominate kit. But he didn't.Originally Posted by SendRickPics Go to original post
LB mainers have the same story as Raiders'. Strong enough in 4v4 character with almost zero duel potential. Both have their shine moments in 4v4 win matrix. But somehow Raider got everything and LB got almost nothing.
Honestly I feel like the LB changes do more than they first appear, I've found myself really dominating with him, but perhaps thats more because he suits my preferred playstyle and flow than anything else. I don't think they were enough to make him a 'good' pick, but I don't think he is bad now either. Apart from raider and the top end duelists, I find my only losses to be situations I know I missplayed rather than it being an unfair matchup. His options seem just varied enough now to mix-up your offensive to the degree that you can become difficult to predict, rather than before where he could really struggle to crack someone who plays passively, now I have enough options to force them to act.Originally Posted by SpaceJim12 Go to original post
If I were to improve anything it would be his trading power to help cope with zerker, right now your only real trade is via the mixup/dodge shove, which only guarentees a light afterwards which is an awful trade off when you are facing hyper armoured heavies. So while I think adding hyper armour to everything is really lazy, perhaps if he had one tool like that for heavy pressure it would force the likes of zerk to be more tactical over when and where to trade with you.
