I have tried, REALLY *******ed hard, to be nice and polite. I tried explaining stuff to people, stuff to make combat so much easier, only to have them completely ignore me. Then I come onto the forums and all I see is 15 threads an hour, crying all about how the game is too hard for people AFTER THE DIFFICULTY WAS ALREADY NERFED. I read those threads and 99% of them are purely player error and nothing to do with game mechanics. This is the last time I'm going to try and do this productively and politely.
After today I will be immediately booting any person who matchmakes into my group and illustrates that they do not understand any of the concepts in the thread I linked below. I encourage everyone else who is fed up like me to do the same.
It's abundantly clear that some people have no respect for other peoples time, who expect to be carried through the content and therefore have no business matchmaking into challenge difficulty missions. Hopefully some of them will learn their lesson and understand that they will no longer be given a free pass This is simple stuff. I don't expect every person playing the game to be some MLG prodigy who never makes a mistake, because I am far from that myself. However, I do expect people to use a little common sense to try to figure out what they're doing wrong and how to remedy that problem.
I refuse to sit back and watch as another game gets flushed down the toilet because of people who throw a temper tantrum when they die in a video game and seem to think the game should just spit out all the cool stuff on a silver platter with no effort on their part whatsoever. That is not fair to other players who took the time to actually learn how to play the game effectively.
To the devs, shame on you for caving in to these people. You designed the game with multiple difficulty settings for a reason. If you are just going to make the game easier and easier then why did you bother having difficulty settings at all. There are only two possible ways to address this problem. Either revert the difficulty changes and if that makes challenge difficulty too hard for some people, too bad, so sad. Alternatively you need to IMMEDIATELY and I mean like before you even think about releasing title update 3, make heroic difficulty worth the effort. Not doing so will be the equivalent of giving the middle finger to the players who were not having trouble BEFORE the nerf and that now are completely bored with the game since there is no incentive to play heroic and challenging difficulty only goes one of two ways. It's either face roll right through a mission in 10 minutes or endure a grueling slog of carrying 1 to 3 other people through the mission. That is of course, assuming that most of those players have not moved on to other games by the time you come to your senses.
TLDR: If you think the game is too hard, YOU are doing something wrong. Learn the basic concepts in the thread I linked below, if you choose not to, stop entering challenge difficulty matchmaking and stick to hard and do not cry when you are getting booted from groups as a result.

I can't do heroic, can do most challenging though and L4 CP's are a walk in the park for the most part. IF, challenging and heroic content actually rewarded better loot, not just one more of the same loot for 2x the time it took to get it, that would be something to strive for. Not even higher gear score, but if I knew that getting a high or god rolled item was normally a .0001% chance on a street mob, but on a heroic mission climbed to a full 1% chance, that would engage me and give me a reason to do it.
+1 One thousand times, but that would not be enough.Originally Posted by JudgeLazar Go to original post
Trust me on this.. it's not a build issue. We've purposefully completed challenge missions with sidearms skills and nades. Sure it was "tough".. but very very doable.Originally Posted by Steppia Go to original post
