The most polite way I can say this; Look dude, for most Westerners, "Take Jerusalem" might just be a meme, but in today's political and historical climate, Jerusalem is a hot zone, where people might get hurt or killed at any time.
Nations fight over this area daily, and certain leaders and nations do stir the pot far more than need be, without thought of the consequences for the people living there.
It ain't a joke to everyone. I'd consider your kick a good lesson in reading your audience, and considering that not everyone shares your sense of humor.
If you're willing to remain civil and open minded, I'll concede that point.
But opening with the most dangerous jokes ain't usually the best way to go about it. You gotta start slow and ease folk in. It's 2019. Everyone is offended by anything, PC 'culture' continues to spread and it's trying to take hold of gaming as well. Wish this wasn't the case, but it's the current situation.
My advice is just try not to have fun while you're there, only use it if you're looking for people to play with or something like that.
