I have the same problem on two separate PS4s.

    System
    PS4 Original

    HDD
    Internal, Aftermarket (Seagate 2Tb)

    Physical or Digital
    Digital

I have noticed the texture issues in several locations including (but not limited to) the van outside The Theatre (the same as in the OP's video) and the tree in the middle of The Campus.

    FYI.....

Just watched the weekly SOTG and they mentioned something that was not in the patch notes they were reviewing. "Drastic"improvements to "texture streaming" especially on console (e.g. things taking a while to load in, blurriness, etc.) will be coming in the TU3 update hitting next week.

Sounds like they are also talking about texture loading delays to me which is great. At the 48:40 mark in the live stream.

Well, that ship has sailed hasn't it? The purpose of even bringing this up for many of us was to have it fixed or at least improved. I'm not making excuses for Ubi. ......just trying to help shed a light on the problem like everyone else was so they would get it fixed.

....so yeah, the fact that they acknowledge the problem now and may have actually fixed it is "great" IMO given the alternative.

I hope this update fixes the game. ps4 pro, internal stock hdd, digital copy.
game worked fine the first two weeks. My friends snookered me into buying this stating "it's not like all the other ubisoft games" which come out broken AF as usual.
Lo' and behold here we are now...
    texture loading issues
    Game constantly erroring out.
    Audio issues when swapping weapons
Characters getting stuck opening loot boxes and/or not receiving loot...
People not being able to progress to world tier 5...
    The list goes on.
I actually went back to play Destiny 2. These guys are making Bungie look good right now. Specially with the new Outbreak Perfected quest in the game and season of opulence right around the corner. If Ubisoft thinks I'm gonna pre-order or even bother to buy Breakpoint that's being advertised everywhere after this nonsense (again), they're crazy. Least it's aptly named.. literally at my breaking point with this company. No more moneys for you from my wallet, that's for certain. Least I wasn't foolish enough to buy the deluxe version or season pass for this mess.

Well mine is not that bad but for the sake of getting more of a sample size here is mine

    System
    PS4 Pro

    HDD
    Stock

    Physical or Digital
    Physical

I will say though that the issue gets worse & shows up a lot more if I suspend the game & put the ps4 to sleep, to the point where say time 5 or 6 then I get nice boxy cars on the street with no textures. Starting the game fresh each time keeps it down to just a few seconds of texture pop in.

This actually makes me think it's not just the speed of the HDD, but rather the memory overhead that TD2 is using on the PS4. I've had some games use a truckload of memory on the system, but I have never seen a game that actually slows access to quick menus when the PS button is held down, or when the share button is pressed.

The fact that this can potentially happen when the game is suspended reinforces this idea. I don't think it's just HDD. I think there may also be a potential memory leak problem with the game itself.

By the way, ever since watching that video, I've taken notice of the problem more and more, probably because I'm fully aware of it now... Kind of getting a little annoyed by it. Here's hoping the patch that's incoming will indeed fix some of this going on.
