Crossed into level 20, after 19 was a great hoot, brilliant balance, great fights, died as you do but then level 20, hit and it turned to a total crapfest.
Which was doubly a shame as level 19 was one of the best levels, real balance, cover required or get mugged. Then level 20 arrived and the universe changed.
Bounty, killed the boss, straight up, but surprised by a rusher, roll 5m away, he explodes, not worried as rushers take some health, not this time, full health to dead instantly.
Died to rushers when low on health, but WTF, why did this one kill me, plain red one, but no dead so bounty over.
Walk out of the safe house NPC patrol nearby, Lob a grenade open fire throw out a turret, 3 yellows, ok, but get fired on and absolutely shredded, healing when a yellow spawns behind my barrier, opens fire, dead. Who dialled up the npc’s damage just suddenly off the scale
Manage to take a broadcast point without any real issues.
Head to another SHD divtech cache where I get another bounty. Find them easy enough, kill one of the bosses straight up, then all npc’s rush my location, roll away to new cover 50 metres back, heal up, when 3 npc’s, the second boss and 2 purples rush me again, ignoring the turret thrown out and my fire, just completely melted in no time, try to pop an armour kit, killed before it takes effect.
What happened, crossing level 20 and the npc’s become ultra aggro at rushing you.
My level 20 weapons, couple of new level 20 armour, is totally inadequate.
The damage has massively changed and the npc’s have dramatically increased their firepower while mine seems to have fallen off a cliff.
I remained in Constitution Hall and Downtown West as it felt like the times I crossed into Judiciary Square ( level 25 - 29 ), at level 10, so I did check the map just to be sure.
Suddenly lost the fun element and will give it a break and hope tomorrow sanity levels will return.
What happens, why does it change dramatically, how does NPC damage and aggro roar off the chart.
Have you had any similar experiences.
