200 tracks, 2/3 of the game, are locked behind a store. Let's fix that

It is beyond ridiculous that 2/3 of tracks in this game are locked behind a paystore that shows up a couple times a year. Each track ranges from 1-2 dollars in currency, so unlocking them all would literally cost hundreds of dollars.

A game should have, you know, game mechanics to it. Unlocking things through play. Let's come up with ideas for how that could work.

It could be so much more interesting. Maybe there could be a new mode for the slot machine. You pull the lever and a hundred different tracks you've never played before start spinning. If you manage to get gold or better on your first try, then you get to keep the track. The pool of possible tracks gets bigger as you level up the slot machine.

If you want unlocking tracks to change include the word "support" in your reply and I will add you to the list. Since this is the official place to give feedback for the game, let your fellow riders on Facebook and Reddit and everywhere else know that this thread is here for the community!

Yeah, I agree, and we've discussed all of this before but they arent listening.

I can understand why they would wait some time after and event (4 months maybe) before making those event tracks accessible... it encourages you to play the event.

However, the moment that ONE restriction is passed, every track needs to become automatically accessible in-game in SOME way. Its simply good gaming managament to keep the players interested and playing by giving them something to strive for. The Frontier team is simply throwing money away and driving their once huge player base away by not doing this... but its their business decision, even if its a stupid one. For each track do one (or more) of the actions below:

    - Put tracks and/or map pieces on the track loot wheels (ie reward constant track play)
    - Put tracks in the slot machine, like they did in the beginning (ie reward playing the side-games)
    - Put tracks in the Bunker Chip Shop, costing some decent amount of chips... 5-10K each (ie reward playing PvP)
    - Sell random map/bike pieces in the daily shop, almost constantly. (ie convert gems to tracks to suck our gems away like a good F2P game does)
    - Every once in a while, reward players who frequently log in by allowing them to buy map pieces for a track they partially own, directly on the track map (RL has done that before). This allows people to quickly "finish" specific tracks they have started collecting... for a gem cost.

Yeah exactly, there's just no way that this is even a good business strategy. You know the riders pass, well in most games a monthly pass allows you to earn rewards and progression through playing. Well of course in Frontier its just login or lose what you paid for. This game already has enough of that grimy daily stuff with 2 different shops, slot machine, dog house, daily reward calendar and everything else.

If adding tracks through f2p is too much fun then they could at least add unlocks to the riders pass. They're basically squandering every opportunity to make a better game and earning a buck.

I got every track in the game and I still feel like the tracks need to be easier to unlock....Why hide content. If I missed A track at this point. I would quit playing. No joke. I've read nightmare stories about missing A track or even A bike blueprint.

Fully support this and agree with xitooner's points...those are some great suggestions. FWIW I still enjoy playing this game, It is the only mobile game I've played that keeps me interested.

I was a late-comer (late 2016) and really had to grind to get all the tracks/bikes but it took a lot of patience and persistence...nearly 2 years to collect everything and that was as a daily player who did well in events. I shudder at the thought of starting over. For new players (or players switching Android/iOS) the progression must be supremely frustrating.

The way I would do it, is to bring back the Prospector for a new game mode. Every day the prospector would pick a track you don't have (or don't have all the pieces for) and challenge you to set a time on it. If you pass the challenge, you get a map piece for that track. This would allow you to build up pieces gradually over time and also encourage players to log in every day.

There are a few ways you could structure the challenge, but I think a good way would be that if you have 0, 1, 2 or 3 pieces of the track already then you need to set at least a bronze time to get a new piece. If you have 4, 5 or 6 then you need a silver time, and 7, 8 or 9 mean you need a gold time. This encourages you to get better at a track as you complete more challenges on it.

If there are tracks that are added for an event that you miss out on, then RL could hold them back from being eligible for the prospector for a few months, but you'd know that you could eventually earn them through skill.

I think this would be a great system, but sadly RL have shown zero interest in improving the game so I think there is no chance they will do anything about it.
