Yup. It's called dodging. Goki is hilariously easy to shove around especially since he has zero answers to bashes.
He can't force anyone to fight him and even if he lives long enough to get revenge people can just ditch him because he's slow as hell, has no chase down, and stupidly long recoveries if he commits to any part of his mix up.
The only dangerous thing in his kit is his fully charged heavy, since it becomes a true 50/50. He can soft-feint into hug that late into the strike, that is unrractable.
As Raime said, just bash him out during charge-up or simply dodge back/roll and he is shut down. In 4vs4 he can do quiet some damage still, if you can get any distance to him.
I agree with knight. A shugoki has nothing that can open up a turtle and has to waste his stamina trying to. His damage and recovery is a joke. I play a level 70 shugoki. Before the rework if I got revenge i was usually guarrenteed a death if I got a gb. Now revenge is pointless. The demons embrace mechanic and his combos are to easy to just back dodge or roll away from
Why shugoki was reworked without an opener is utterly stupid. And people saying use his unblockable faint to force a reaction... Yea you really don't know what your talking about. It's all reactable.
I still prefer this goki compared to the old one because he actually feels like he can try to attack now. he just needs some more work. Like basically all of the reworks sans zerk. His issue basically puts a spot light on how terrible this game can get in regards to defense. I agree he is slightly better. To me the only betterment is his HA single light and not taking extra damage when passive HA goes down anymore. The damage reduction means I have to widdle away at a decent opponent. I do prefer this shugoki compared to the glass cannon of before though winning against another hero is less epic. The speed up if his demon ball is nice and his oos oni knock down comes in handy sometimes. I'm probably going to switch my main to the axe lady or shugoki 2.0. Her faint trip/kick to gb/dash heavy chaser and her feats look better than shugokis. I like how she looks more than shugoki. Plus I always hated how shugoki carried his club when he runs I don't know why but that always bothered me.

I don't know too, they could make Shugoki much stronger, they could give him DE feint, dodge+heavy like sprint attack but in stance to punish rollers, they could make Shugoki really strong hero then complaints would be justified.
