01 MAY, OLD TITLE: More Operators for AI Fireteam with Progression
04 MAY, NEW TITLE:Additional Operators for AI Fireteam
This is an on-going edit where I'll revisit and customize previous operators
Title says it all. There has been plenty of great ideas in the past about making people "care" about their AI teammates. Some ideas included adding intel on their backstory, leveling them up, or interacting with them for unique dialogue, those are all good ideas. What I'm proposing is probably for a future expansion and is an open project for me or for anyone else that wants to participate and create characters based off... other characters.
HOW IT WOULD WORK
- Currently, the bottom row of the Action Menu is the Rebel Support row. My idea is to replace the Rebel Support Row and with the Operator Support Row.
- There would be 0 to 4 options. You can equip 0 operators or you can equip 4 operators.
- You would be able to use +4 operators, which is +1 more than live.
- Each bubble would coincide with an Operator Support skill that your AI teammate can provide.
-Not all operators have Q/E options or would have 3 skills, that's only if applicable such as Q/E:detonate satchel 1 or 2 OR ground vehicle Q/E: to desired vehicle or Q/E: Deploy M203 HE, M203 Smoke, M203Frag
OPERATOR SUPPORT SKILLS
- These are NOT meant to be overpowered.
- These are NOT meant to be gamebreaking.
- The point of Operator Support Skills is to utilize them as the Ghost Lead/Team Commander.
- They are subtle skills that enhance gameplay and are by choice.
HOW LIVE'S GAME WOULD BE ADJUSTED
- Some things would be taken away from live's game and those skills, perks, would be given to operators.
- It's inherently taking 5 steps back, 1 step forward but in a good way.
- Player can have drone, player's drone no longer perma marks enemies, perma marks is usage of teammate
- Healing drone is removed from game. In person revives only, special operators (AirForce PJ) has special medic skills.
- All Live's Rebel Support is now integrated in separate operator skills.
LEVEL SYSTEM
- I have scrapped the level system per community comments.
VARIETY
- This opens up so much variety in gameplay when it comes to tackling missions. Some players would choose the most stealthy operators, while others would choose ones that provide dropping payloads, while others prefer pure support such perma marks, sync shot, and capturing.
- This adds flavor to solo play. One may get bored with their stealth only play style and want to change it up and then choose 4 sniper operators, equip them with ghillie and do sniper team mil-sim/RP
- You may absolute hate how an operator sounds or converses, bench them the entire time! There's no penalty, you just progress the ones you want.
- Make it easy on yourself or make it hard on yourself. Use your AC-130 asset to quickly destroy a convoy OR sniper's disable vehicle convoy OR don't.
DO THEY DIE?
Tough question.
- Should there be a penalty when you leave your man behind?
- Should AI teleport for the sake of player convenience?
- A fun or crazy idea would be they can be downed like in live. If you leave them behind, he or she will remain there. If you go out of distance the same cross within a circle icon would appear on the map for you to go back and provide aid.
- An AI teammate operator skill I have in mind is Medivac extraction. You can use the skill to pick up downed ally across the map.
- I don't think perma death of AI teammates is a good idea because then you are stuck with those filler operators similar to Rainbow 6 RECRUIT class.
- There would be penalty or long cooldown timer before you can use that operator again.
PLEASE ADD TO IT
I am interested in seeing other ideas and other operators that people can invent.
Here's how I do it:
(1) Go into Ghost War and create a character, usually based off the rifle you want him or her to be holding.
(2) I screenshot the screen where you are choosing the Loudout and Perks. That way the character is off to the left.
(3) Via STEAM, I open the photo via MS Paint.
(4) Simply a matter of editing via cut&paste and typing.
***It's quite difficult to get a good photo of the operator in the Main Campaign as multiple menu boxes cover up the operator. If simply doing the outfit change, the operator doesn't hold their rifle. That's why I use Ghost War.
I'm open to suggestions. ***Highlighter Green Comments are works/suggestions in progress.

This is an ongoing edit. Trying to figure out a good set up

I sincerely love the idea, I wish it came to me first. Do you accept drawings?Originally Posted by Jedimindtrxx Go to original post
Thanks @Hugo!
Feel free to add on @Mars!
I never even thought about that... requests
I just assumed people would make their own. hmmm, I guess if given a drawing, I would probably follow the same steps. I'd probably put the drawing on the top right as a reference similar to Kenya or maybe I'll start posting in comments for more detailed descriptions on the Operator inspirations. As you can see from Version1. I have a lot of work to do.
The creativity part is really in the SUPPORT or ASSAULT skills.
I can't wait to make an Airforce CCT guy.
LVL 5: Mortar Strike
LVL 20: BRRRRRRRRRRRRT A-10 assault
LVL 30: JDAM,
This is a phenomenal idea! A throwback to the older GR games where we can choose which operators to take on a mission, as each has advantages/disadvantages. Perhaps adding a female or a defector from Unidad for intel could round out the roster? I look forward to what this thread has in store. Saved to FAVORITES!

LOLOLOLOL, just throwing this out there before I actually make serious GR operators.
It was either Venom or Sturdy Serpent. Enjoy the Easter Eggs.
INSPIRATION:
Venom is inspired by... a combination of Solid and Venom Snake. David Hayter, his name, is taken from the America voice actor that plays Solid Snake in earlier MGS titles. His Biography is taken from the MGS Wiki. The symbols are references to his service in the US Army, Green Beret, Militaires San Frontieres, FOXHOUND, Diamond Dogs, and Open Heaven.
WHY CHOOSE VENOM
> K9 operator, much cute, very puppers
> Assassinate is just as effective as sync shot, AI is so far advanced that he will 100% not be seen, and he will carry and hide the body in an optimal location
> Air Drop Crates provide useful ammo replenishment at location, Air Drop Crates can land on top of enemies killing them or causes diversions.
> If you are building a fireteam of air superiority, Venom enlists the help of his former PMC company Diamond Dogs ace pilot Pequod and can overwatch an area for 30 seconds.
IN PROGRESS
> Add LVLs to Skills
> Add a puppers

I like the idea. I always thought it should have been a 6 member squad. However, I'm going to make the suggestion that they all be American.
Tier 1 units train very specific procedures and predetermined responses, and so they don't generally mix and match well, and would generally prefer not to have non-unit members with them.
Even within say SOCOM DevGru and CAG, while they do much the same things have different ways of doing them. You can't really just take CAG guys and plug them into a DevGru unit without some drop in combat effectiveness. If a DevGru or CAG squadron/saber has bought a little too much real estate on a given deployment in extremis they may borrow some, but even then you gotta be careful with what you expect them to do.
Pulling in internationals makes things more complicated. Pulling in internationals who aren't tier 1 guys makes things even worse. Given the Ghost mission I don't see those guys riding into battle with outsiders.
I 100% agree with the statements, and you're definitely not wrong. I can clarify my mindset. I guess my mind is in that Tom Clancey universe as opposed to IRL. Tom Clancey drew on reality to create a fictional reality. So I guess that's where my inspiration is from. A combination of Rainbow Six and Ghosts, global CTs and American Tier 1. Kind of like how Valkyrie is a female Navy Seal. 100% wrong factually, but... acceptable in practice. The non American Operators/Assets would be based on like Green Berets/Delta using a Rebel Leader as a force multiplier (Carlos above) or having the support of SOCOM/JSOC (Making CCT, PJ, and EOD guy). CCT operator just because those skills would be all artillery and payload drops. A few fun operators too such as Venom above. So the Skills are my focus and also the creative dress-up (who doesn't love that part)Originally Posted by Bone_Frog Go to original post
I understand the balance between realism and gameplay. i.e. Spawning a car next to you. Same people that complain that the cars spawn too far, are the same ones asking for a more realistic game. I'm going for more of that balance between tactical and tacticool as always. Just like how some players use female Ghosts, I will be lenient on the restrictions in regards to IRL restrictions. Again, what you said is 100% right and I usually agree and learn from things you write on here, I'm just clarifying my mindset on why.
What I'm not going to do is make like a "create your own" Rainbow 6, like rehashing the looks and traits of those CTs. I'm also trying to also steer away from the Zero Dark Thirty look that anyone can replicate. Trying to stick to more personalized characters while prioritizing unique specialties and skills that fit the story arc like Ryo's female Unidad defector. Things like Mar's GST operators would be for fun. Really thinking through who has what Skills, then I'll also know there'll be a Tier list of like S-tier operators that everyone uses and D-tier operators that are worthless, I'll continue to edit for balance as well. Early stages still.
So while I'm doing this in order to give serious suggestions to Ubi, it's also for fun.
Also I'll probably do requests, and make people's operators with whatever skills they want after my projects
