The hunters... they are kinda wasted in this game... i remember them as among the most exciting fights i had... And its a shame you only encounter them once.
Think about it as a weekly project they reset every week, you have to hunt them down to get the keys and open the ivory box to get like a named weapon... that would be really cool (at least in my opinion...).
Not sure if that would be easy to implement in the game, but i will leave it just there as a suggestion for the developers.
They should be used a lot more.
Both in the LZ and DZs
For both I would let them live up to there names. They are Hunters let them hunt. For the LZs maybe if you kill to many NPCs someone puts out a contract on you and sends a Hunter. The more your kill the more contracts and the more hunters come after you.
In the DZs they hunt down Rogues and the more players they kill the more hunters come. And for the PVE players the more loot you get from landmarks triggers the hunters trying to get the gear back.k
In Warframe, for example, there are a few "assassins" that spawn at random if you are marked for death by them. You get marks for different assassins depending on how many bosses you defeat or how many invasion missions you do. You get a nice little e-mail from them letting you know that "your actions have consequences," then, when you least expect it, they spawn and attack (cue Shadow Stalker sound bite)...
Hunters in Division 2 should be like that after one reaches WT5. Have projects to kill 3 named bosses from the same faction (for example) and a hunter bounty appears.
Ran into a random building the other night on my airdrop blue-mod collection route and ran smack into a Hunter, just chilling out in the passageway. Turned my level-19 a-s-s around and did not look back, sweating profusely........

i wish they would come on with it. Its silly to have the most elite npcs in the game rarely EVER in the game. The ones on the rooftops are just bad jokes, who even cares, you either one shot them or they run away. Whats the point?????? Please tell the point of the rooftop hunters!!! Please!!
They need to be utilized in the open world both LZ and DZ.
These random Hunter spawns are nothing to worry about, they don't attack, they just observe. If you target them or engage them, they run away and disappear in a bang. Some have been lucky to target them with a sniper and one-shot them in the head, so you can kill them, but you don't get anything special in return.Originally Posted by Goo-Goo-Man Go to original post
The random Hunters can be found everywhere, mainly at night and you can tell when one is nearby by the buzzing and fuzzy hud display on your screen. You can find them mostly on the roof tops but I have seen them in the tunnels (behind gates) or in the subway (behind gates) as well.
I would like survival back but the hunters hunting you down from the start.. Have something to collect instead of clothes for cold that will keep the hunters at bay for longer, possibly clothes that will disguise your location the more you collect. Or something that will tell you they are close by, the more you collect the more your comms go static meaning you know they are close by.
Don't have this stuff then they can just sneak up from behind like a DZ griefer. Have the timers again etc. other npc's but a good number of hunters actually tracking you down.
Sure they could come up with something that would work
