Exactly. That breaks immersion a lot. I like the big bosses with machinegun and chainsaws, but they behave wrong. The NPC with flamethrower seems legit. When you hit weakpoints, she/he runs at you like in TD1 in a last attempt to kill you. I love that!

I remember seeing that guy for the first time when I was leveling and doing a mission..
I forget the mission name, but It's that one where you can light the room on fire and kill everyone in it..

Anyways, when it came to where he was at,I had never seen him before..
I remember asking myself right before he got to me..What the hell is that in his hands? Is that a... *SLAM!!* One Shotted!!....a freaking sledge hammer?

I was like, how the hell am I gonna kill a dude like that.. He's juggernaut fast when he gets moving and one shots in range..

I seeker mined him and threw my turret down and ran around like the last one alive in a horror movie just knowing he had to be on my tail.. then finally wore him down and killed him after rolling and turning back shooting and running rolling turning back and shooting..

Now he's a cake walk, but back then he put the fear into me.. lol

Sledgehammer dude alone is not really a problem. The problem comes from him plus a handful of other enemy NPCs makes it extremely hard. The first time you are put against this guy is in the DCD mission, and no it isn't in the room where you can ignite the room and kill everyone.... it is a few rooms after that. You are put into very close quarters with him plus two or three others, and you can't be in cover to avoid the others because you have to run from and avoid sledgehammer guy. That mission is unfair and cheap because they block off the door you just came through so there is no retreat ability, and when you encounter that mission you are around level 14 and no you couldn't have built up stacked DTE etc.

Encountering this guy in the end game is not such a big deal because it is typically a large area, with plenty of room to draw this guy away from the others and deal with him. Plus by that point you have DTE stacked, weapon damage, protection from elites, etc.

Yea,I couldn't think of the mission name..
I was using that room to identify what mission I was in..Not the room he was in..

As others have already mentioned the Juggernaut alone or with a few regulars isn't an issue. But thanks to the daily project of completing Roosevelt Island on challenging where he shows up in the final no respawn zone instantly and also starts rushing at you immediately, with the dozen of veterans and elites supporting him - not to forget the mini gunner on the boat - that wait for you around every corner while you try to evade and escape the Juggernaut - that somehow is able to sprint a whole marathon - you either die due to lead poisining and getting hammer-splashed super fast and easy... And no: +80 DTE, +15 weapon damage and +25 AR damage still needed hundreds of bullets to take him down.

Oh, and did I mention you get surprised with another one that hops off the boat before you can even restock ammo?

Your correct, on Roosevelt Island on challenging, these Juggernaut's are a real issue. Their armor is scaled too high and one swing from the sledge can remove 240k of armor. If you can run away, engage, run away, engage, then you can get through it, but in the last section of Roosevelt, there is no running away, just running around in circles while other NPC's shoot you or the mini gun mows you down. And if one Juggernaut wasn't bad enough, you have pairs of them to deal with.

Seriously why I wouldn’t play Challenging one Sledge hammer guy is annoying enough but two plus the elites that’s too much .Hes easier to deal with in the open world but it’s cheap to be confined to the closed space like Dcd HeadQuarters at times feel frustrated

I roll under their legs as they swing. Good fun.

THo I more concerned the other enemies shooting me while I running around.. You cant exactly take cover when you got angry madman chasing you around with a hammer. And you know how fast NPCs can melt your armor if your in the open... especially the LMG vets and elites.

It's better to roll THROUGH him than to the side.
