10% weapon damage vs 10% crit damage

im runnig vector and i have the choice of adding 10% weapon damage or 10% crit damage, i got 60% crit hit chance and 40% crit damage and 1000 weapon damage.
so my logic says that if i add 10% wdmg then 40% of my bullets will hit 1100(1000*1.10) dmg and other 60% will crit and hit 1540(1100*1.40) assuming i have 100 bullets magazine its 136,400 total dmg.
and if i add 10% crit damage then 40% of my bullets will hit 1000 dmg and other 60% will crit and hit 1500 (1000*1.50) total of 130,000 dmg.

    my question is :

    1) does it allways better to add weapon damage then crit damge ?
    2) is there any cap to crit dmg and weapon dmg stat bonuses on gear (can it be that there is 20% wdmg and 20% chd or is chd caped to 30% and wdmg to 20%)?
    3) does crit damage calculated only from base damage (1000*1.40) or base damage + added weapon damage (1100*1.40)?.

because i rad other posts and ppl allways say if you got more crit hit chance then go for crit damage and vice versa, now im not good at math but for me it just dosent make any sense.

I think it's better the weapons damage, as I know weapon damage and crit damage are both additive bonus so with a 60% crit chance weapon damage is better.
Other things like damage to elite, damage to armor, the weapon talent "ranger" etc, are multiplicative bonus, so vs a elite a 15% more damage to elite would do more damage than a 15% more weapon damage.
    Correct me if I'm wrong

My logic is thus, you are not always going to get crits. That makes crit damage a "once in a while" bonus whereas weapon damage is every time you shoot something.

Do you want to get paid once in a while or do you want to get paid every time you work?

but lets say i come across a player with 2200 hp and i have 10% wd thats 1100 per bullet so i can kill him with 2 bullets.
and if i had 10% crit dmg i would hit him with 1000 dmg the 1st bullet and maybe 1100 with the 2nd i can only kill him with 2 bullets only if both of them proc crit.
therefore i get more burst with wdmg.
that makes crit dmg poor stat in pvp also or am im wrong ?

That depends on lenngth of this sustain. In the long run - it is just as good as any other (well, if numbers are ok and random is fair).

With the new PTS change the 8% crit damage on holster/gloves would become 5% like the weapon damage and that dosn't make any sense, the crit change at 5% it's ok but not the crit damage

I rather take 1000 bucks once a month then 100 bucks every week.

If you already have WD on a piece of gear and decide to roll CHD onto it (provided your CHC is maxed out) then it wouldn't hurt to have the CHD. I would just personally spec more into WD where I can for an overall boost.
