Turned out they never went over at first, cleared out the first existing enemy wave, revived me, destroyed a tank, then FT'd back over the wall to their buddy whom didn't jump over, then they rinsed & repeated. The bad part is that since offensive skills suck so bad anyway thanks to the nerfing, it's such an agonizingly long wait for the average player. If you've gone through the entire mission, & then have to sit around waiting for such slacker styled players, you juggle whether to leave the match or not. Giving up means you'll have to redo it all over again anyway to complete the daily, however staying is excruciating.
It just shows how desperate some players are, that they will only play harder difficulties if they can exploit it somehow to such an extreme. To the point they will resort to watered down skills to take advantage of a missing forced timer. This is a totally different level than that D1 tactic, this involves weak skills & ZERO direct combat, like it's not even possible since a big freakin wall divides players from npcs. So if you ever play with randoms on that mission, remember they might be those types, otherwise you may find yourself over the wall alone, going down & laying dead for 25 minutes.
Hoping devs implement the missing timer.
It has appeared that the npc's have been a bit tougher, but that could be the group we all run with, could be the enemy AI adapting/changing, or could just be perception and it's not. I sure hope they are and I wish they would make it even tougher. The idea of "challenging" should be just that. It should be a gear check. When it becomes super easy to clear, that's when you know you are ready to try heroic modes. If there is no risk, there is no reward! I've been irritated lately with the enemy nerfs outside of there. The game is too easy and people finish content so fast they complain. It happens in many games where the devs try to make everyone happy with blanket solutions. I really wish the devs would actually make it so you can increase the world tier difficulty level. Imagine hard or challenging mode option when you are just running around, forcing you to learn on your own, too, how to handle tougher situations. It shouldn't be wrapped up only in Grand Washington, Potomac, Roosevelt, Tidal, etc. It should be an option for everywhere you run.
If u destroy one tank it will spawn 2~3 waves of adds then stop spawning. Destroy another tank spawn the boss and adds from the boat
If u destroy both tanks at the same time, it go to the last phase that only spawn boss and adds from the boat. People think it will spawn mobs for destroying 1st tank and boss for destroying 2nd tank but this is not the case. I did this solo in hard mode to get combat merit (no depleted armor)
No offense but no definitely not. Just because you probably couldn't finish the mission doesn't mean it has to get tweaked. I played it solo on challenging got wiped in the last part of the mission as well but made it in the end. This kind of challenge we need. If I hadn't been able to finish the mission, can happen. You shouldn't be able to finish everything. But this keeps you pushing yourself to a higher level and the will to try another approach. Not every difficulty is meant for everyone.Originally Posted by I 2phast I Go to original post
Is the same with skill builds. Found a guy on YT finishing a challenging mission with a skill build solo and is preparing for heroic as well. I believe he is going to succeed. Everything is possible mate.

- 35 mins to complete though and I didn't find the end phase any different than before
So my earlier point stands. Nothing has changed besides the fact that the core audience has ditched this game and only newbies are left so things seem harder. This is no reason however to further nerf the game because of low skilled players.
Massive dug this grave with the reactionary changes.
