Game is fine as is, NO changes.
Changes must be made.
Any poll is only going to capture a small subset of people's opinions. I just checked the forum for the first time in weeks to see what was included in today's game patch, and wouldn't have noticed this thread otherwise.Originally Posted by x-D0minat0r-x Go to original post
Anyhow, still enjoying the game, other than the slow start times. Looking forward to some of the changes coming too. The world is not black and white.
Nope. It's covered in green paint.Originally Posted by dagrommit Go to original postBecause, like, toxic colored I guess???
No one is going to be completely happy with the game. I'm pretty sure everyone can find something they'd like to change.Originally Posted by x-D0minat0r-x Go to original post
You are just going for polar opposites. I am willing to bet the majority - if not the overwhelming majority - of players sit more in between the 2 extremes.
Agreed. I am somewhere in the middle. I love the combat and environment. The videos we find are awesome, should have been in-game cut scenes. But, it's so far away from the original I think it leaves people shaking their heads, wondering why some of these things even needed changing in the first place. Keeps what works and expand on it. Don't reinvent the wheel only to get a half baked product.Originally Posted by III_Hammer_III Go to original post
I also think that gamers in general are tired of half finished games. Tired of being beta testers for no reward. Tired of testing betas only to see not a thing changed at release. Tire of betas being released as the real deal. Games as a service destroyed games for fun. Imagine going to see a movie but a good portion of the content has been "left out". Want to see that next scene? Get the "moviename" dlc. People would throw a fit and rebellion would ensue. Why is that approach acceptable for games? Game publishers are only accountable to the share holders. The money behind these games cares not for your pleasure nor the game at all. They just want to make bank on their investment. That leaves DEVs with their hands tied. They cannot make the game they envision because the money says git-r-done. This is why games suck the majority of times. Until the approach to games is changed this is the norm. These game companies pretend to listen to the community but they can't do anything if the money flow says otherwise. This leaves the community frustrated, DEVs stuck. They come here and vent to no avail. It's merely a symptom of the root problem.
Actually, there are a lot of scenes that don't make it into movies, and to see them you need to get the special blu-ray set, or the story is stretched through "movie", "movie 2", "movie 3", movie 4 in 3D", "movie 5, this time is personal", etc etc etc.Originally Posted by PpapMij Go to original post
Anyway, about this "beta" thing... as far as PC - consoles have their own sets of issues - as systems get more and more sophisticated, as games get more complex, as people load and run more and more crap in their computers, it becomes increasingly hard to account for every single thing code will run into. It's not an excuse, just a fact. So understanding that, I shell out my $60-$100 for a game. If I like it and play it long time, great. If not, I move to the next one.
I know some say "oh this game and that game run perfectly in my computer", but then you go to that game's forum, and you see the same "gamed runs like crap" and "full of bugs" complaints there.
Game companies don't code a la carte either, and listening to you doesn't mean they will make the changes you want. And yes, companies that make games are for profit businesses. If you are that disillusioned about games and the gaming industry, don't do that to yourself. Find another hobby.
One question if I say i'm happy with the game as of now
Will I get called a liar/shill/Paid to say so/a UBI employee or any other term trying to demean my feelings or happiness with the game. you know Gameshaming which is the new in thing to do
I have the odd issue with it like the nerfing down of NPC's and nerfing of the mission difficulties, but overall i'm happy with the game and enjoying it on a regular basis even now after 350 odd hours.
But then again I might be a shill/liar/UBI employee or paid to say so.![]()
im not even sure what the current state of the game is to be honest. Its just kinda there. Game seems much more fun when you are by yourself without an objective. They are trying to promote team play but all the bonuses are lame and the sets are beyond boring in fear of creating a meta.
Yes I am happy with the game. I am also excited they are making changes to try and improve the experience and adding new content and look forward to putting as much time as possible into playing it.
The poll seems obsolete as it doesn't judge anything.
Anyone playing knows changes are being made so keeping it "as is" is not even an option.
You should at least read the thread.Originally Posted by Steppia Go to original post
