-6-8 man co-op as an option.
(to better foster realistic squad/fireteam structure and tactics.)
-Attention to detail & authenticity in all aspects
-A Serious tone for both story & gameplay as well as characters/factions.
-Emphasis on all aspects of a small unit working clandestinely in a hostile region/country focusing on tradecraft & fieldcraft.
-Having better world building, better story structure ideally linear but still within a large open world, better character development to include the development of rebel and other sources of support/intel.
Authentic & Realistic:
-Ballistics.
-Clothing.
-Gear.
-Weapons.
-Vehicles. (damage/repair, fuel, recovery, and recovery kit for when one gets stuck in mud or water, transporting the teams heavier support weapons/equipment/ammo.)
-Factions.
-Air Support, Fire Support.
-Quick reaction forces standard options/support units as well as trained local fighters, Infiltration & exfiltration options.
-Weight constraints that encourage realistic weapon/weapon accessories, gear/equipment, & clothing selection.
-Customizable placement of weapon accessories,
-Customizable placement of gear/pouches on vests, customizable helmets with multiple NVG options.
-Customizable SOF type vehicles having both overt and covert options for team vehicles with a wide array of weapons and hard points for those weapons.
I just want more of Tom Clancy's gritty realism. Darker theme and a focus on realistic mechanics. Less cosmetic crap.
Edit. Here's a post I made a while back:

The question was 'what do I expect from the next GR game' and in this regard I fully agree with KunninPlanz... if Ubi Paris remains at the helm. More of the same with a different wrapper. Some very talented developers were on this project, I can see evidence of their work throughout the game. In my estimation the potential for this title was phenomenal... but unfortunately we were only given a taste of what could have been, in my opinion. I don't particularly agree with Ubi Paris's purported "vision" for this game, I honestly find most of their decision making absolutely perplexing. In any regard, I think they missed out on a huge opportunity to lock down a genre that doesn't really exist right now, the realistic 3rd person, open world, military tactical shooter.
Oh well. Guess we'll have to wait and see what kind of corn pipes, googly eyes and eye jammers they have in store for us the next time around.
