Circle symbols next to talents in Stats.

When you look at the Stats sheet, there are symbols next to the talents:
A hollow circle, a circle with a chevron, a circle with a horizontal line, maybe others.
Do you know what they all mean? I assume they denote how the talent applies.
A blank circle, I presume, means it applies to my whole person.

'Allegro' is a passive talent, which I read applies to all weapons/my person, yet it only applies to the one weapon, right? This has a circle with line thru it. (Both of my "Accurate" talents have a circle + line thru it also.) So this should presumably be "only to this weapon" ..?

Other talents, that have a chevron in the circle, I'm hoping, mean that they apply to all weapons...? But there are discrepancies with this...
Both my "Ranger" and "lucky shot" have the chevron symbol, but my LMG isn't benefiting from 'Lucky shot' thats on my Marksman rifle.
However, 'Skilled', Unstoppable Force, and Calculated also have a chevron, and these surely apply to all weapons/ my person, do they not?!
What about Dialed-In with a chevron?

If by some absurdity that 'chevron' symbols only apply to it's current weapon, then the 'strike thru' circle perhaps means that it isn't even active at all. If that's the case, then that's BS and don't let it roll on a piece of gear that it can't be used on..

Maybe these symbols aren't even what I'm thinking they are.. Would be nice if the game had more small explanations/descriptions for things. Such as this, if I hover my mouse of the symbol or stat, maybe have a little window pop up...?

Those are the patch symbols you unlock by completing achievements.

I guess maybe it's just a symbol to differentiate between which talent's are "Active", "passive to this item only", and "while equipped".
and has nothing to do with how it affects you. Obviously, a red talents means it's not active.

This is a bit disappointing then, because how are we to know what all the talent effects.. of course some are easier to discern than others. I'm not an idiot. But there are some that you can't tell, and it's obvious from reading many comments, that MANY people have been confused about how talents are effecting them... I though these symbols might solve that, but I'm presuming now that it doesn't mean anything but what I just said.

"Those are the patch symbols you unlock by completing achievements."

Oh really? That's pretty useless then. Why even bother. I figured it actually meant something. haha.. silly me for thinking that, expecting to get a bit of information from the game.

Seems to me they should incorporate what I said in my post, so people can know how a talent affects them.

ah ok, that makes some sense at least. I did make this connection when I figured it was to differentiate the types.
    thank you
