People have been complaining that hard and challenging modes have become easier. Most are claiming it is because the npc's had damage and health reduced. Whilst that happened, I disagreed and said I felt it was because they had reduced the number of enemies we faced.
I've just had that position reinforced.
I just leveld my second character to level 30, put on my spare GS500 gear, broke out the weapons that let me walk most WT5 content and went trolling the strongholds. 2 shots kill a red, 3 a vet - that kind of thing... Sure, its pure trolling, not going to apologise.
What I noticed is very interesting. There ae NO waves of enemies.
I've just had to run Distict Union in Wt5, 5 or 6 times due to farming for certain drops and even though its not hard to do with my build and gear, it still takes a little time and there are, 100%, multiple waves of enemies. Now I know when I did this the very first time there were multiple waves of enemies as well. So where did they go? Massive have not removed them from the game.
I think they are on a timer.
I think the waves spawn not because you have killed the last enemy, but because you have not killedthe last enemy fast enough.
I walked in to the room, there would be 3 to 5 enemies in ech one. It took 10 seconds to kill them, I walked in to the next room. No other enemies spawned. Not at any stage. Including the final fight.
I think the hard and challenging mission are now easier because we are clearing content faster and not allowing the additional waves to be triggered. This is inpart to reduced damage and health but also because our gear is far better now and we are far more familiar with the tactics.
Anyone from Ubisoft want to confirm or deny that enemy waves are not triggered if you do content quickly? or is there another reason they are not showing up?
