Two problems with Middle east server ...

First one is no players in ME server and while this is not directly a Ubisoft problem but the solution is there and can be done.

Second problem the connection to Dubai ( Division 2 ME server location ) is not the best in the area the : north Africa have bad connection with Dubai and even part of the middle east doesn't have a reliable connection with Dubai cause the target for good routing is always Europe, I'm getting random Delta errors on ME server more than what I get when playing in EU server and playing on EU server feels more consistence and reliable.

The solution for both problem is an option to change server and it's also a solution for a lot of players across the world that don't want to play on certain server.

I'm already playing on EU server by just matchmaking for activity and hence there are no players in ME server the matchmaking is transferring me to EU server so the solution is already in the game and all Ubisoft/Massive have to do is to give us the option to select server , instead of that now I have to match-make and then wait for a group and when I find a group > press ESC leave group and stay on EU server since I play solo, but this way is very annoying for me and I believe for the group I'm joining.

My copy bought from Uplay paid in Euro, not even secondary currency we use in our country and more expensive and it's an EMEA version : ( Europe, the Middle East and Africa ) so I have the right to change to one of those server.

Note: I did the Troubleshoot the connectivity which is irrelevant because the problem relate more to ISPs and server location not my own connection.

    Hey Raptor_i81!

    Thank you for contacting us.

I can see that you've managed to put a detailed post, explaining your issue very well, so thank you for that.

The first issue that you're referring to is not necessarily suggesting that the servers are empty however I can see where you're coming from, suggesting that possibly one of the reasons for the servers to be less active is due to geographical location. I am happy to pass your feedback over to our Division 2 team who will review this accordingly.

As for your second issue - would you be able to advise what are the Delta error codes you receive by any chance? Additionally, we have received reports from people located in your area, who are experiencing connectivity issues and that reflects by having a much higher ping than before, which is somewhat related to your problem, however as it stands, this is one of the issues that our development team is aware of and are actively looking into it.

Lastly, in regards to having the ability to select the server you want to connect to - I do fully appreciate where you are coming from and I am happy to pass this along together with your other feedback for review. In fact, this is something that has been implemented in Rainbow Six: Siege game where players are now able to manually select the datacentre they want to connect to, so time will tell!

I just want to let you know that I'm still suffering the same problem and here are two screen shots showing that "the lowest ping" is not a good way to let the game choose which server I should play on.

Ping with EU server is relatively high but more reliable :

And this is the PING with the ME server at the same time, you can see it's low but the connection is not good with lots of packet loss :

I still prefer and play on the EU server obviously but I'm using the Matchmaking to change my play session to EU server , details in the first post.

An option to change my server from region to another is very much needed and it's the best way to let players actually play the game.

    !
the reason why middle east servers are empty is just because half of its countries are banned from playing this game by ubisoft and it's politics , remove the ban and see how many players will join the game
