Could the hero reputation be uncapped? Personally, I'm not bothered about unlocking new outfits as my hero's reputation increases. We have plenty of reputation outfits and the steel gain for each rep is good enough for me. I'm looking more forward to rep 100+ heroes and community members going crazy over it in the game chat or on YouTube videos. I'm sure the content creators would have a lot of fun with this.
Also, the reputation cap is the reason I move on to another character before I'm actually ready due to the 100 steel for each hero rep gained. I rather use a different hero once I've purchased a good amount of cosmetics and not worry about reputation caps reducing the amount of steel I could earn.
However, even with uncapped reputations, I wouldn't mind previous event cosmetics and gear being reused to be unlocked at higher reps. This would give players plenty of reasons to purchase Champion Status. The devs can still continue to make rep oufits as well. I just don't want my hero progression to be halted.
How does everyone else feel about this?
Here are some brainstorms for unlocking previous event content via reputation:
From reputation 70 onward, for every 10 reputations:
- you get an event battle outfit at the 2th and 6th reputation.
- you get an event ornament at the 4th and 8th reputation.
- for every 2 reputations you reach on an odd number, you get an event effect. The slot would be random.
- for every 2 reputations you reach on an even number, you get an event gear loot crate. These creates can unlock gear and armour pieces from previous events. When you use one of these, you'll receive 5 pieces of gear with 2 of them guaranteed to be event gear. These crates can also be used for future events. Check the 'Change Look' menu to see what gear your hero has unlocked and what remains to be unlocked.
- Any content you've already unlocked for your hero would be unlocked for another hero at random.
