10% damage to armor or 30% damage to elites? (PVE)

    PVE ONLY

since i use 3 pieces of aerali holdings already, i have 3 other gear slots available.. i am thinking of choosing one for my sniper build, should i go for 2 pieces of true patriot gears and a compensate talent (10% damage to armor and 15% weapon dmg with critical chance below 20%)
or 2 pieces of gears with hard hitting talent and some other offensive attributes? (30% damage to elites and some other offensive attributes such as 10% headshot dmg and 8% weapon dmg)

which one is better do you think?

    Depends on what you play.

mostly/only high level content with 99% elite enemies? .. there is your answer.

Mixed content with all enemy levels? depends on how fast you can kill the trash mobs without the 10% armor damage.

Well, 10% damage to armor can help against purples too, whereas damage vs elites is just for yellows and named ones. Its up to you if you think its worth to crush purples a little bit better, but for me, its not worth it. I guess its more significant in pvp.

If you want to go sniper, i would advise to get the headshot damage talent on holster and gloves, if you dont run an active talent on them.

I haven't reached end game yet, but I have gone for Damage To Elites right now at 62% it was 68% but I dropped 6% Damage To Elites in favour of 13% LMG damage. I also have a trashy 2.5% weapon damage piece.

With a decent weapon, 60%dmg to elites is enough.

I have a raw damage build with 0%crit chance and around 60% dmg to elites. I have no problems to bring them down.

Weapon Damage is king IMHO, DTE a close second and AR/Rifle/??? Damage is third for me. If you are a marksman with good aim, prioritize head-shot damage for the third one.

I have been playing around with this on the PTS and currently there have managed to build 26% WD, 100% DTE and 10-15% AR/LMG/Rifle DMG. Pretty much everything melts and hitting 1mil DPS on elites with my AR is easy. Level 3-4 CP's are literally a walk in the park and with 260k/120k Armor/Health I can take a lot of damage, although the elite sniper dogs on heroic mode still destroy my armor and get me to 20% health in one shot.

I have over 100%damage to elites . They melt fast but purple's are an issue..I'd recommend taking the damage to armor as it works on players and all enemy types.

After 60-75% it's just numbers masturbation as far as killing elites goes imo

Don't discount the basic Weapon Damage stat. I think many folks don't get that it ups the DPS on everything. What may look like a god rolled AR, LMG, etc... on someones screenshot, may just mean he has a lot of WD stat. It drops on Chest and Backpacks and I have come across it up to 12.5%. An extra 25% WD is pretty awesome, it changed my M60 from 23k to 29K damage, which was a huge jump, add another few percent from mods and you seriously kicking butt across the board.
