As the title says, it's dying and I am not sure it will recover for our clan. Up until the mess started with ALL the changes "COMING" did we have any issues in our clan. I am not sure what is happening with other clans but our activity went from 20-30 on a day and in discord to this weekend (Friday Night our typical peak night) 7 on and 2 in discord. The gear changes nerfs or buffs needs to drop ASAP or everyone is going to find something else to play and most likely not come back. To expect a community to keep playing a game and grinding gear for stuff that won't matter whenever you decide to release your next big changes is dumb to the player base. Or at least to us. Sure I am still playing because I like the game, but the majority of our clan has all but bailed.
We expected something this last update to help keep folks interested, we don't want to go play on PTS as a clan, nor should a developer ask its community as a whole to "STOP" playing the game on live and help us test and fix the game by starting over on a test server. Sure it's a nice have, and people who get involved on that level should be thanked. But to just bring the live game to a grinding halt is ridiculous. And whether anyone admits it or not the game in its current state is dead. Or am I just overreacting?
Are there other clans out there feeling this pain? Dev's, are you not seeing the massive exodus to the servers? I almost think something needs to be pushed out to help people start preparing for raids that should have been out a week ago. This is bad...
Maybe I'm crazy... Just my two cents

I believe part of it is the poor drops levels in Tier 5. For someone who is at least 500 gear level, you typically get drops 491-500 on PVE stuff, except the 500 is just rare unless its your level up crates. It was a fine system for tiers 1-4 but not very incentivising for Tier 5 imo. To their credit they did say up to 515 stuff will be in DZ after the patch which makes it more worthwhile to go farm it imo. But so far the level up and Clan chests have only been giving 500 stuff.
Another part is the push back date of the 8 Man Raid. We had dates and times and sign up sheets set up for our clan to go and hit it strong but Enthusiasm died quick with that push back, wasting our effort to coordinate with the Raid drop date.
Part three, would be the steady increase in bugs with each patch. I release bugs happen and that's understandable but I can't think of a single patch without weird gameplay breaks since launch. I honestly hope the PTR will help decrease the new bugs with new patches.
The last point would be poor Clan Leader options in game to see when players have been on last to determine activity level. They only have 50 spots and if you are recruiting Actives and Carrying a lot of inactives it currently makes it hard to see that with the current Clan System. Its just a guessing game atm.
I think all 4 of these have contributed to Clan numbers declining. I bet its happened to all the Clans tbh. New content will bring some back though.
The lack of communication due to there not being a SotG took a major hit on the community. When you delay major content like a raid you NEED to be constantly communicating with the community ensuring them whats being worked on. TU3 needs to come out now or at least parts of it that are ready. The recalibration change needs to happen ASAP because its holding up a lot of people from fully optimizing their builds.
I'm truly surprised you guys didn't pre-record or even put out a forum post in place of the Live Stream. This is a crucial moment in this games life cycle and the hype/momentum for the raid has died down tremendously. A lot of people were expecting something and instead we got nothing.
We got a small update to the PTS but no real indication that progress is being made.
At the minimum we need comprehensive post weekly at this stage in the game.
Well said! I don't really care to play on the PTS. I am sure there are plenty of streamers in there getting their fix and trying to hang on to what viewers they have. Some of my favorite streamers and YouTubers have already left the game due to its current state. That should be a big red flag to these guys. But like you said, they seem to be missing the forest through the trees.Originally Posted by FejitaDaGawd Go to original post
Not at all my clan is a ghost town right now.
There isn't any incentive to log in
And if the raid drops the new sets and that's it there still won't be any real reason to log in , minus grinding a few item levels but that in itself won't revive the player base.
This happened the first game as well and the game never fully recovered from it.
I anticipate seeing less people logging in as a permanent behavior.
My clan is all gone. About a week ago, there were three of us. We played together, nd decided to start playing TD1 Survival, and GR Wildlands together. Ubi/Massive has only ONE clear goal with TD2 - to keep the players from getting anything good. Crappy gear-sets, underwhelming exotics, time-gating, insane levels of RNG, purple gear dropping in heroic missions, nerfing EVERYTHING that is actually good...They say the nerfs are about build diversity, but build diversity isn't even possible in this game.
