....with the current loot/item system.
If I compare it to other lootbased RPGs like Diablo f.e. theres a continous improvement process in terms of loot.
You play and at the end of the day you can say "my char became stronger today and tomorrow I can do harder content" (f.e. higher Torment, higher G-Rift, etc....).
In Division 2 I currently miss this process in endgame bcs at the end of the day I dont feel the character improvement, even if I'm lucky and get 1 item upgrade.
OK with a upgrade Instead of 1 Mio DPS I do maybe 1,1 Mio DPS but the game itself dont gives you a feeling that this +100k damage rly matters.
Even with avarage and not perfect min/maxed gear you faceroll everything up to challange.
And Heroic is rly not worth the time & effort in terms of rewards....and bcs of the bullet sponge (yes I talk to you Black Tusk Robots) its more annoying than fun to play this mode.
Even with good min/maxed gear this dont make any difference in Heroic mode.
The base of the item system is good (brand sets f.e.) but it rly need a improvement if not even a overhaul to become great.
Currently I have to force myself to do the weeklys bcs at the end of the day the loot I get there dont rly matter even if I drop a upgrade. (And this shouldnt be the case in any lootbased RPG out there no matter if H&S, loot shooter, MMO, or anything else.)
Totally agree 100%, that game was a Massive let down, and honestly so far has been a waste of time and money.. I'm actually enjoying Outward far more than this..Originally Posted by CroDanZ Go to original post
You must a different version to me , i dont have any endgame yet, as far as i know the game is still evolvingOriginally Posted by CroDanZ Go to original post
It’s just not a lot here. Going 1-30 feels fulfilling but then you get to end game and you see how little there actually is on top of the loot and recalibration being less than their former glory.
Then add to it there’s very little exotics, no exotic armor at all.
2 exotic weapons you have to find pieces for and craft (1 is time gated)
The others have such low drop rates it’s insane (still hunting for you merciless after a month and a half)
Then they delay the biggest content drop for a pts in hopes to remove bugs and test balancing etc...we know neither will actually be accomplished as metas and bugs will always exist ...so yeah there’s legit nothing here in end game.
I personally have had a bit of the opposite experience, constantly gaining slight improvements either directly to my gear score or indirectly by minor improvements on my build. But I can definitely understand where you're coming from - it has slowed down as I've gotten higher and higher gear score. Out of curiosity, could you describe what your typical experience is when you log on? What activities grab your attention, and what aspects of the game do you feel lose it as you're playing?

Not particularly, it was 4 years in the making and should have had a huge budget due to the success of the first, the game that was released was pretty good, but short on content for the time taken to make it. I'm yet to see the debugging and optimisation you speak of, they've actually manage to add bugs, and lessen the optimisation so far.Originally Posted by Neo_Wildcard Go to original post
I think it's safe to say you're in the minority there, I cant remember the last time I found an upgrade. To be brutally honest, all I'm doing is logging on to do the invaded missions, that's it. The dailys, weekly's, and bountys just drop the same stuff that rains from the open world or invaded missions. I might be in a bit of a minority here, but I actually miss having to repeatedly farm falcon lost for that perfect peice of sentry's (if memory serves me correct), and that God roll mdr from our favourite D1 grindOriginally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original postI dont feel any excitement atm at green drops, and I know that I have a 0.1% chance that a yellow will be of any use to me. Not sure what the solution is, just how I feel. I've played about 5 hours in a fortnight, I've gone back to other games mainly. It's a shame, but hopefully things change and TD2 becomes something good.
I would love it, if I had something to work towards and a path to get there. The 0.1 chance of looting something useful is probably being generous. It seems like maybe, after 500 items, one MAY have a stat worth keeping for a future recal. Getting and actual entire piece of gear that I would look at and say wow, well that hasn't happened since hitting T5.
Even if it took exchanging 500 or 1000 pieces for a single peice I really wanted, with the stats and talents I like, at least I would know that eventually I would achieve my goal.
