SuperRadioCase Custom Tracks, all feedback welcome!

    Hello all!

I've just uploaded my first track for Rising, Hydro Power. I wanted to call it Hot Dam, because it's a track where you climb over a hydro dam, but that name apparently triggers the profanity filter... who would've guessed?

It's something between a Hard and Extreme with a variety of obstacles that I hope are challenging but fair. It's a bit on the longer side at just under 3 minutes for the platinum time. I designed it with an Evolution look in mind - gritty, barren, lots of wooden planks, that kind of business. Being my first track, it was mostly an excuse for me to reacquaint myself with the editor tools and learn the new features but I still tried to make it my best. I'll probably do something more thematically daring and exotic for my next creation.

I tried to make the driving line interesting and fun but I could definitely use some feedback. Tell me what you like, tell me what you hate, and I'll try to make my next track even better. I can't promise I'll release new tracks frequently but I've got lots of ideas I want to explore

I’ve not played it, but I did watch the full video. Just from watching it looks like there are a few obstacles that are extreme, so technically it’s an extreme. My advice is to pick your difficulty and try to keep them all within that difficulty range. In this case I would have toned down some of the harder obstacles to make it more in line with a hard track. I’m personally not a fan of obstacles that backflip you onto ramps, not a fan of elevators and anything that makes you stop and wait...the boat for example. However, those are just my preferences. A very good effort for a first build. I like longer tracks so that’s a plus in my books (others will disagree). I’ll give it an actual run when I get some time and let you know if any of my thoughts change. Look forward to seeing more from you.

I watched a few replays from other riders to get an idea of where people were struggling. A lot of people drive right into the wall when they reach the elevator and everyone floors it right off the boat and into the water on their first go. If i've taken away anything from building this track, it's that obstacles that require you to stop will break the flow of the track and messes with players' expectations, which is to keep moving. I suppose I should have expected that from a racing game

Thanks for your input, it's very much appreciated. And thanks to you too Scottie
