Not to mention majority of the posts in this TD1 forum are for TD2 anymore. Turn about is fair play right?Originally Posted by london_whale Go to original post![]()
I doubt Ubi will ever again support this game as it was designed circa patch 1.7. If they're willing to let bugs like the one in Grand Central Station go, where on Legendary mode you reach a point where you can't progress when the last guy in the 2nd group of enemies hops over the escalator railing and no-clips through a wall and gets stuck there, causing the gate to the lower level to not open, it's not likely they are at all concerned that the game also becomes an annoying, repetitious grind to prepare for the hardest modes.
TD1 is dead to me. I could probably progress further even without a matched/maxed gear set and weapons by beating all available Challenging Missions on WT3, but quite frankly I'm having more fun playing other games.
LOL, good luck with that. Ubi are conveniently ignoring all such requests.Originally Posted by davidmeyis Go to original post
You'd think just coming out with Global Events via patch 1.7 would make it obvious they realized after many complaints of the gear and weapon upgrade grind, that the game was originally designed too tedious and repetitious in that regard. Then they have the gall to yank them right after bringing in more customers with the free trial following TD2's launch. All they've done is further sully their reputation, and that causes players to boycott or pay only bargain bin prices.
Great marketing strategy Ubi, you've fubared yourselves once again.
Realistically though, say I have about a 260ish gear rating, but no gear set yet, definitely no maxed gear (as it seems a waste of time until you acquire enough pieces), and just level 150,000 (DSP) LMG, 200,000 AR, and 300,000 Sniper?Originally Posted by Veghvaald Go to original post
What WT and difficulty could I play Resistance at to get far enough in the waves to get some decent drops? Note I'm not really bad at shooters and have no trouble beating any mission so far on WT2 Challenging, maybe some on WT3. I also beat GRW on Extreme with no HUD or any Skill upgrades, averaging less than 10 min a mission.
My main problem with this game is more it's weird RPG structure than it's shooting, although the cover system feels a bit laggy and sticky at times when the battles heat up. The exception being the auto cover to cover maneuvers, but you can't always count on those.
