Did the long arm got any compensation or it might straight up not exist at this point?

Well pretty much yeah, his one saving grace in a gank is now gone, still as hard to pull off and no even less rewarding.

What nerfs? Shove on block guaranteed nothing and was one of the worst mechanics in the game. Long Arm and Impale being interruptable is just following all other CC moves being the same way. I know of no other nerfs, and what he got easily compensates for that. And lights being more accessible means more players will be tempted to throw them out more often, meaning more chance for 50 damage parries.

He could've used more hyperarmor due to him being the towering armored giant that he is, but it is what it is.

Block on shove is gone, which was one of his main tools. It didn't guarantee anything, but it was very easy to pull off and lead to a light / heavy / guardbreak. Long Arm and Impale follow the trend but it's still an UNcompensated strenght to an already trashy Hero. His neutral shove is still trash and not viable at all. He got 400ms and 500ms lights, but what if I simply guard top and parry sides on reaction. For any good player this is an easy job, and Lawbringer's offense is shut down once again.

Also if you manage to get into the combo, what then?
If you enter with light, you still need to follow up with an heavy, which is parry bait. Also no hyperarmour to cover anything ...

He got nothing while being trash tier, which keeps him continuing trash tier. He can harass some noobs and low-mid players with spam, but is it really that what you would expect from a warrior of his appearance?

Lawbringer was and is bottom trash and it would need A LOT of buffs, while this "rework" was as much nerf as it was buff.

Excuse me, but you obviously have no clue about Lawbringer.

They basically just upped his cancer factor in 1v1s by buffing his out of lock tech with that 400ms neutral top light and they doubled down on his insane parry punish. So basically making an overly defensive character even more defensive.

And after expressly stating that they don't want out of lock in their game the devs go ahead and buff LB's out of lock - this one is just a baffling decision frankly that can only be explained as the fight team not knowing how their game is played at high level.

Overall a really poor and clueless update to LB.

He's basically a slower more worthless cent but with a larger health pool and no incrediblis.

Am I wrong in thinking that adding combos really doesn't improve a character's overall performance?

Under certain situations you can land a heavy, when the enemy expects a light and tries to parry too early. But this is VERY situational and nothing you can rely on.

I would have prefered him to be punching through parries and having hyperarmour on heavies, but continuing being slow.

His zone needs increased range, speed and damage. His long arm needs to be faster slightly. Hyper armor. Giving him 2 400ms top lights changes nothing because his top light was already the only move he had. Shove on block needed to have an increased stam cost, removing it just made him mundane.

In contrairy dude ... I mained him for 8 season and know his flaws pretty well. I hardly played any other Heroes.

I played him since closed alpha, I remember you could be parried doing a light attack after a shove. All Ubisoft is doing to him after all this time is making him faster... instead of unique they're just throwing him into the 400ms, let's make em light spammy, category.

I mean don't they have eyeballs, when the let him dance around with 400-500ms in their labs??

The devs are so afraid of simply giving him strength to break parries with heavies. He could remain slow, what fits him optically very good, but hit like a truck.
Give him higher damage on block, since he is easy to block.
You can not let people of his size get parried like there was no man under that full-plate armour ;b

No need for abnormal speed, if there is no fear for parries on slow attacks. That would have been the right way.

Obviously they don't have eyes otherwise they would've gotten waaay better rework ideas from the community. One of my old-old-oolld threads about a rework idea for LB was giving him two modes of attack, sorta like Highlanders. But instead of offensive defensive it was Long & short range stances. Long being, his attacks are slow still, but hit like trucks and keep him out of range from GBs, forcing the enemy to close the gap if they want to do anythng. Then short range giving LB the openers like shove, doing faster attacks but way less damage, letting him combo and mix between the two modes, keeping the enemy guessing.

Yes dude I remember. I also commented on it, and we both had a good conversation.

What I really miss on him is the pure power, if you know what I mean. He simply is not what we looks like at all!

Raider got such a good rework with only buffs, while he already was better then Lawbringer.

LB will now be known as the hero in the game. "All that glitter is not gold." Meaning, he looks the coolest, sounds the coolest, but is about as horrid to play with as a rusty, broken knife.
