Former top 100 player, I took a break from the game and I have so many questions

I was really into this game back in 2014 and 15, before there was even the Bunker. I think I topped out at rank 80 overall on android. I took a break from the game until just recently and so much has changed.

I'm missing over 200 tracks. Where do I even begin to collect these? There are no more missions or map packs to buy and nothing on the loot wheel.

One of my favorite ways to improve at this game was to farm Anba races. But now there are new bikes that are faster than a speed bike but just as high accelleration as a balance bike? They're doing shortcuts that aren't even possible for any other bike. How do you get the ktm and bmw? Is there ever a reason to buy the bandito bike?

I've nearly got the last blueprints for The Donkey. I've heard about donuts, what are they for?

If I can get through the Grindhouse every time should I buy the daily rare fuel for 40 gems? Anybody have any experience in how many gems I should get back in an hour?

Is there a list of the possible special offers that are in rotation? Are there any must buys?

This ones kinda unrelated, but has anybody had the chance to play the game at 120 fps on a razor phone? Just wondering how optimized or how big of a difference it is.

I've noticed a lot of players with 3 letter tags before or after their names, are they part of some player group or guild?

And finally, are there any discontinued tracks that I can never unlock, having not played in over 3 years?

From time to time you can buy old tracks in the shop with gems, usually 60, 80 or 100 gems per track, but only one track a day. You can refresh shop for 20 gems and get a new track to buy. The tracks you are able to buy are up to the X-games event, that was in july 2018.

You should get some tracks on loot wheel too. There are tracks in the bunker which you can buy with chips.

You need both KTM bikes, BMW and Bandito. You do not need Agent and Stallion bikes. There is no need to buy blueprints if you have enough time and patience to play.

You need donuts to upgrade your donkey.

#TF names are players which changed their names from the guest-xxxxxxxxxxxxx names given by the game, the rest have a uplay account name.

You need a lot of gems, coins and time, summer 2020 you may be back in top 100.

    Where to start?!

Like alu707 said, you will need time... and gems... and coin! no shortcuts for this unfortunately!

Tracks? I'm not entirely sure outside of daily shop. There are about 10 (or less) in the bunker for chips. They're listed in a thread somewhere i think. Some maybe on the slot machine, which you should play regularly if you can.

    Bandito, both KTM's
and the BMW are needed if you want to compete for top times, (shame they didn't put them on they're own leaderboard as they rendered all other bikes pointless apart from the odd track... which for a new player is just stupid... sorry, ranting!!) not sure about this new Harley.

20 blueprints for each bike and then a ****load of coins and parts for upgrades, were talking 7 figures to upgrade fully for each bike.
They do sell blueprints from time to time but like everything, bundle it with coins, gems, outfits and bike skins to inflate the price. Personally, i think they're a rip off but it is your choice. They have some cheap ones too now and then (99p is rare) which if you get ads, i would recommend making one purchase to get rid of them, they will p*ss you off in the bunker otherwise.

Donuts are instead of parts for the donkey (because another bloody currency!!) though i don't think they are needed, just reduce the cost like parts.

I think it's all about the bunker for you. You'll earn gems, coins, chips, donkey donuts, tracks and blueprints (not sure if these are every season). Given your ability you'll easily make legend each season (see next paragraph for why) and i'd advise against spending golden tickets (yep, another currency!!) until you get close to legend, it's really not necessary early on, take your time... you watch the next season being short now i've said that!

You will only compete on bikes you have built, which means avoid building a bike you have blueprints for until you have some serious coin to upgrade it straight away.

I also wouldn't spend gems on anything other than tracks and some outfits which give benefits like reduced slot machine cooldown. Check out what they do before jumping in. Can't remember off the top of my head.

The rare fuel you speak of is a reward in bunker seasons, not worth 40gems in my opinion.
I assume you man running Grindhouse for coins? You won't get any gems back unless you are lucky on the loot wheel. There are better tracks for coin, though you may not have them, there is also an outfit that doubles the coins from each checkpoint.

I thought TFG players were those that wanted to show they are part of the Trials Facebook Group? maybe wrong on that one.

Anything else? Probably worth playing the doghouse everyday, and the new daily login bonus will help you too.

Loads of useful threads on here, do some specific searches. Sadly, this forum is pretty dead these days.

Ive spewed this out on my phone, probably missed loads, made some errors too, apologies in advance 😉

Not true. #TF- names are for those players who didnt register ubisoft/uplay account at all. It's so-called silent login mode. Fully-functional account but without login and password.
guest-**** accs is default name for ubi/uplay accs that was registered from the game itself. It so stupid that game still can't just ask for acc name... to change it you need to login to the ubisoft club and edit your profile there.

Dont buy the rarified fuel. You get plenty from the bunker. I never even use them. Just play regularly. The new bikes havr some pros. Bandito has high top speed and is more flexible than the bronco. Ktm is faster and nearly as flexible as the tango.

You start a game today, you get a guest-4625ggsg3 name, then some guy in the salon wants to know your name. You enter Dave, your name on the leaderboards will be #TF-Dave. That #TF naming was not existing four or five years ago, when I started playing this game.

No. guest-**** name will be only if you will register ubisoft acc. If you will make clean install, game will ask you for your name in the one of the first missions. That name will be used for silent login mode. #TF prefix for silent login mode was added recently so people can't fake existing ubisoft account names as for silent login names there's much less restrictions. You can play with that name as long as you want. If you will register ubisoft acc your name will be changed to guest-*****

Ok, know I understand, but if you register a ubisoft account, is it only an option to choose an ingame name?

The forum nowadays is very inactive, if you have Facebook you might want to join Trials Frontier Group, more activity there.
