Just standing there, enjoying the view ... I couldn't stop laughing and got caught, dang it!
That is hilarious! Love the colors in this shot too, very pretty blues. Thank you for sharing this funny moment!

The Sirens were creatures of Greco-Roman mythology, believed to possess exceedingly enthralling voices. 1 day, Barnabas was sailing with his friend Garos to Samos when they heard singing unlike any they'd ever heard before. Whereas Barnabas survived the encounter, he never saw Garos again.

The Uplay+ trial locked my saves without warning & it locked Discovery Tour too (which is BTW free content available to anyone who's bought the game). I asked Ubisoft support for the stand-alone version of Discovery Tour & they completely refused. I keep on saying i want to make a complaint please & they just ignore me & close the case

Νο. The Sirens were mythical figures of Greek mythology, exclusively. The Romans adopted Greek mythology and added some elements later on.... Sirens were not included in those additions.

You know a lot more about history than me but a simple read of wiki says:
"Roman poets placed them on some small islands called Sirenum scopuli. In some later, rationalized traditions, the literal geography of the "flowery" island of Anthemoessa, or Anthemusa,[1] is fixed: sometimes on Cape Pelorum and at others in the islands known as the Sirenuse, near Paestum, or in Capreae.[2] All such locations were surrounded by cliffs and rocks."
"The first-century Roman historian Pliny the Elder discounted Sirens as pure fable, "although Dinon, the father of Clearchus, a celebrated writer, asserts that they exist in India, and that they charm men by their song, and, having first lulled them to sleep, tear them to pieces."[9] In his notebooks, Leonardo da Vinci wrote of the Siren, "The siren sings so sweetly that she lulls the mariners to sleep; then she climbs upon the ships and kills the sleeping mariners."

Presumably, the Leonardo da Vinci didn't believe that story to be true but if this story was told by many people in medieval Italy is it not part of Italian mythology? Is Star Wars part of our mythology today?

Sirens existed in Greek mythology since the 8th century BC at least, (Homer's era), although they possibly existed since the Bronze Age of Linear B scripts, circa 1500 B.C. Sirens were adopted by the Romans after the conquest of Greece (2nd century BC). So, the origins of the Sirens is clearly Greek. The same applies to the Amazons, Titans, Nymphs, Olympians and other mythical figures or clans which were attested in Greek culture for the first time.

It is called cultural appropriation. For example the Corinthian Order that you see even in Odyssey (a certain cosmetic pattern for column caps) was adopted by the Romans and today most people consider it a Roman invention. A lot of things we take for granted derive from other cultures. For instance, the word paradise has an ancient Persian etymology.

OK. I don't know enough to disagree with any of that but I don't think it matters who invented the myth aka story. What matters is 1) was the story told by the Romans 2) how much did it affect their culture & their zeitgeist = "The defining spirit or mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time."
Ancient Greeks told the minotaur tale & 21st century society hears the minotaur tale in AC Odyssey but we also hear many other stories & music & art so the minotaur tale is only a small % of our culture whereas for the ancient Greeks it probably was a much bigger %. And maybe for the Romans the siren myth was only a small % so it wasn't really part of the zeitgeist so it's not really part of their mythology

I can't really agree. I mean, you claim that it doesn't matter who invented the story, but if the story was told by another culture, later on. So, it doesn't matter that the Egyptians invented the pyramids, it matters more that you will find replicas of Pyramids in a Las Vegas casino? Does that make sense?
    Anyway, let's not digress.
